Well, the inevitable finally happened. With no promo., Shania's "Greatest Hits" cd finally took a huge dive on the "Billboard" Country Albums chart (http://www.billboard.com/bb/charts/country.jsp).

Shania's "Greatest Hits" album fell all the way down to # 9 on the Country Albums chart (http://www.billboard.com/bb/charts/country.jsp) this week.

I was prepared for this to happen last week, but not this week. I am a little shocked.

Shania needs to do some promo ASAP if she hopes to get anything more out of the "Greatest Hits" album.

I've read in this thread (http://www.shaniaforums.com/showthread.php?t=36978) that Good Morning America is using Shania in their new promos. If it has anything to do with her GH cd, I think it can help it recover on the "Billboard" Country Albums chart.
Down 4 places isn't that much. It will recover, watch it. :]

:funny:

It isn't that big a drop....and it is mainly due to the CMT Award repeats.
Shania was only down 2,000 copies this week (she still sold over 17K)
Her GH is hanging on by a thread (a strong one at that) considering she doesn't have a single on the charts at the moment and hasn't done promo for months.
Larry King, the ACM's , Don't climbing the AC chart and Quitter climbing the Country charts will get her right back Up! there soon! ;)

Shania's Greatest Hits CD isn't on our top 50 chart anymore as it only lasted 27 weeks which isn't many. It only reached #24. On the Country Album top 20 the last i saw it was #19 previous to that it was #11.
