That is a good one, but "I won't Leave You Lonely" is great too!
Lets face it, the whole cd can be released as singles!
Titanick, I couldn't agree with you more that every song on Shania's Come On Over cd are great enough to be released as singles. However; we have heard that Shania will not release her new cd until Nov. 2000. If that is the case, then, I believe that the song, "Whatever You Do, Don't", has the best potential magnetism to not only shoot to #1 on the country, rock, and pop charts, but also will carry Shania over until the release of her new cd. The song, with it's incredibly teasing lyrics, is pure driving rock-a-billy. I believe the people of this country will eat it up. Many have not heard this song's message. LOL

I couldn't agree with you more that "Whatever You Do (Don't)" must be released. In no way am I cutting on Shania...I think she is the greatest female vocalist of all time. But like others, I was surprised that "Rock This Country" was released. I don't know who is in charge of releasing singles of "Come On Over", but since "From This Moment On", I have been just a little disappointed with the selection choices (with the exception of "You've Got a Way.") Shania is sitting on 3 of the greatest songs ever made--"Whatever You Do (Don't), "When", and "Black Eyes, Blue Tears." I really feel that if these songs are released, her CD will surpass 20 million in sales. Keep up the good work, Shania!

I can not agree with you all there, the old Shania albums are sooooooo much better. The old albums is what you can call real country!!
If Shania Twain could only come with a album that is just as good as her first it would go sky-high on billboard.Songs as "What made you say that" and "God aint gona get you fore that"are some of the best songs she ever sung.Don`t get me wrong "Come on Over" is also good but there is just something missing.I`v got every album Shania Twain has given out, and if you compare them the old ones are the best!
If any one wana E-mail me,mail me at:roytre@frisurf.no

Shani's music is getting better as she progresses. That is true for all musicians. You cant go up to someone who has playe guitar for one year and then go up to someone that has played for like 10 years and expect the one that has played for one to be as good. Just like Shania, she has played music since she was like 6 and every year she learns more how it works to make music. It is inevitable that each song she makes is gonna be better than the previous one. That is why COO sold like 17 million and WIM sold like 12 and I dont even know what her Shania Twain Cd sold but I KNOW it was not as popular as WIM. So in conclusion I like Shania's new stuff from WIM and COO better than the old stuff like Shania Twain and beginnings. I think Shania heself would agree that her music now is better than before.

Thanks Justin. lol I gotta say this tho. I love everything Shania Twain has ever put out and y'all can bet I'll love everything she will ever put out. I even wish she would show out a little for us and release some of that high class, ritzy Vegas type stuff she used to do at Deerhurst. I'm just crazy over this girl's voice. I have never heard a voice quite like hers before. She definitely has her own unique style. I do love that playful little whine she has when she sings country. And I really prefer country music with a little kickin' drive mixed in for good measure. But with Shania, it really doesn't matter. She can do it all. So country, rock, pop, new or old, whatever, I really couldn't care less what type of music or even what song it is as long as Shania Twain is one singing it... So whatever she does is fine... I was really just making a suggestion.
I HONESTLY THINK THAT EVERY SINGLE WILL BE REALEASED, WHY STOP A GOOD THING? I HOPE THEY DONT, THEY WONT. SHANIA RULES ~JaSoN

I know that Shania does not enough time but I think she is the best female performer in the country music and I would someday like to see her in a concert live. I think her greatest single to date is " Rock This Country ".

I definately think that Whatever You Do, Don't! should be released. It is a great song. I thought that not many other people liked it; I was wrong. It has a really catchy beat and fantastic lyrics. Whatever You Do, Don't ALL THE WAY!!!!

I do NOT think that whatever you do don't should be released and here is my logic (remember I am a HUGE fan). Even though we all love the song and just about all of you like me have sung it a million times, but let's think about this in the eyes of Shania. With her recent LACK of success on her latest release of Rock This Country compared to other singles off her COO album I think she has finally realized that her album has peaked, afterall it has been around since late early 1998!!!! If Shania were to release any other single it probably would not get the success it deserves but for logical reasons. That album has been around for 2 years now and has sold 19 million which means that just about anyone who likes Shania at all has that cd. Because so many people have it the impact of new singles no longer spark much attention because everyone has heard it hundreds of times over and over again. I am sure that in Shania's opinion a release of another single would not be a good idea because it will lack sucess and because right now Shania does not have the time to stand by her single because she has taken the year off. What we should think about as fans is what sucess the new album will have. In my opinion I think that the next album will mark the height of her career because now everyone in the world just about has heard the name Shania Twain (WHICH IS GREEEEEEAATTTT). I cant wait to be there as a fan when this new cd comes around and sparks even more national attention than any cd in the past. Well that was my filibuster so I hoped you enjoy!!!!! ( SHANIA IS THE BEST!!!!!)

Shania said she was going to release 12 of the 16 songs as singles to radio. If I remember correctly, "Rock This Country" is suppose to be the 11th single. Didn't Shania release "When" to pop radio only? Does that count as the 12th single? If so, then she's done with the singles from "Come On Over."

Justin, I know that you are a Shania fan, but I have to seriously disagree with you about your analysis. Normally, I would feel the same way when 7+ songs are released--that it is time to release new material. The problem with "Rock This Country" is not that it was the 11th song to be released, but that the song wasn't very good (I am not at all Shania bashing). It wasn't country or pop, and it had a strange guitar riff in the beginning. Everyone is entitled to one mistake, including Shania, who has had some incredible hits. The fact is that "When", "Whatever you do (don't"), and "Black eyes, blue tears" are incredible songs--way better than the last two songs that were released. I for one would be more than willing to wait until 2001 to have these songs released. Whatever happens, at least these songs exist on her CD, and are incredible.
I'd have to agree with you that those songs are great!!! I respect your opinion...I just want the best for the fans and Shania!!!!

I live most of the music on "Come On Over"--"Don't Impress Me Much" & "Don't Be Stupid" are my top favorites. She is a terrific singer and has quite a stage presence. I liked the music from her previous CD too. The song in question, "Whatever you do, don't" should have been released as a single and video! The last two songs just didn't quite hit with the majority of the public. They weren't bad but they just didn't click.
This is my first time here. I found it somehow through ABOUT.COM country section.

I must apologize for the typos in my last post. I meant to say love her music and click instead of hit with the public. Guess I was a little nervous and forgot to proofread!

Hey Justin, that's cool. We all have opinions, and at least we think that Shania is the greatest female country vocalist.
LOL, well, I suppose I was wrong then... http://www.shania.net/shaniaforum/smile.gif
Wow is sorta like Im holding on to Love, and When. I dont think they are singles??? Not sure. Does anyone like these two songs. Dont get me wrong I like all the singles that are out now, and the whole album. But those two are great. When would be a great single. And a vidieo.
