I was on the cmt video board and someone said this:
It's no use, GCanyonfan! Some Shania fans are too far gone to reason with. Shania has to play her ace in the hole, which is her physical beauty! She must draw attention to that, lest people notice her weak material. :shocked: :cry: and so this is my reply:
shibagal, you know what I love Shania to death but I think it would've been better for her not to do that.. As for all the other things you said you are wrong in my mind that was rude and to tell the truth it made me very angry She means a lot to me and her meterial isn't "weak" as you so put it! I was taught never to insult a person when making a point it just brings out the worst in them. If you have a factual basis for what you said it wouldn't bother me so much. What bothers me is that in stating your opinion you seem to take no consideration of other people's feelings... And if you want to think I'm to far out to reason or that I'm over reacting that's fine but it isn't just Shania fans you seem to be the same way in opposing the video...unwilling to change your mind and that's fine...I'm not going to insult you or what you like or believe to get you see the way I do All I ask is that you be more considerate when telling me your opinion.

I learned a long time ago that you can't take what other peoples opitions are personal. They have the right to think what they want to think and you have your right. You can't change how they feel and they can't change how you feel.

These people are driven by jealousy. They just refuse to accept the fact that Shania sells more and has more fans than anybody else!

Don't get so worked up over the people on the cmt board...there's no point and it's not worth it. Just ignore them and come here if you want to talk about Shania. Saves you for a lot of touble. We can't defend Shania everywhere.
I learned a long time ago that you can't take what other peoples opitions are personal. They have the right to think what they want to think and you have your right. You can't change how they feel and they can't change how you feel.

that doesn't bother me that much what bothers me is that it's EVERYWHERE even most of my family don't like her..........I can barely mention her in school....many of my friends don't either......... and she's such a good person it gets to me that they're that mean.........I can't escape it:hide::banghead:

I know what you mean, its the same at my college (it doesnt help because of the other stuff im in to).
I find it best to stay within the Shania community when im online, i avoid places where she may get bashed or what ever cause it gets on my nerves.

Missy (Dreamer), I use to be like that defend a singer but I learnt it's a wast of time We al love Shania and would like to defend Shnia from Shania bashers but it's not at all worth it. People here know I love Shania I don't often menton her. I do if I want too. Just ignore them sweetie okay.

I always have been I'm and idealist the kind of person who dreams of a day where we all show repsect for one another reguardless of ones tastes or dislikes and at the same time I wonder and doubt if I'll ever see that day. I never get so worked up over nearly anything else and that's why I defend her I don't think I would be able to just let it be. So I'll pay the price... but that's okay

I think the more albums and singles she comes out with makes it harder for the bashers. Every success she obtains is that little bit more muscle for the agruement for her and her contribution to the world of music. I also think the bashers don't understand the number of hits she has, not like they care. I think if you listed a bunch of her hits I think people would really change their tune. I know people who know and like her music but don't know its her.
