Aww Steph I'm really sorry. :(

I know what that feels like, at least she isn't in any pain now. You'll remember the good times only now.

BTW those pics are so sweet, the second one is so nice. It looks like she had a very loving family.

Sorry to hear about your lose...losing a pet that you have had and loved for several year's is tough to overcome but keep your head up and think of the good times you had to get you thru those tough times ahead and you should be fine!

My thoughts are with you Steph. I lost a dog I had lived with him since I was born was pretty hard, so I can understand you very well.

Rest in peace Assia :(

I know how you feel.
It's hard to lose a animal that you loved and cared for so long.
It looked like a beautiful big dog.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I recently lost my dog so I know what you're going through. The pain stays with you for a while, but it slowly gets replaced by memories, so you can smile instead of cry when you think about her. Take care.

Assia was like a family member ;)

Now see, that's how all pets should be - like a family member! :D In the area where I live, there are at least 3 cats that are constantly outside. We know who they belong to (although we aren't friends with them), so we will go talk to them and tell them that their cat has been outside for the past few days, and if they don't take it inside, we will call Animal Control on them. We won't see the cat for a few days, but then, we will see it in our backyard wandering around. It bothers me that some people just don't give a damn that their pet is outside in the freezing cold or boiling heat. If I take my cat outside, it's on a leash. There has been the odd time that she has ran out the door on us when we opened it to get the mail or whatever, but believe it or not, she is like afraid of birds, so she doesn't go further than past the steps so we are able to catch her and bring her back in. I love her to bits and I can't ever imagine me not ever caring about her. I don't see how people can be that way - just not care :(
I am glad you cared and I know Assia could feel you cared  The thought of an animal not knowing what it's like to not be cared for just breaks my heart! If I had the choice, I would take all neglected animals, but I can't. The best I can do is call Animal Control and if the owner of the pet really does care, they pick it up.

Dear Steph,

I just dug up this thread, and I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I now know how much Assia meant to you. I know that she is now in a better place. You will always be together in your hearts.

that sucks when it happens, and is unfortunatley part of the circle of life. who's the little one in the first picture? Mine was put to sleep, years ago and I wasn't home at the time. She had been going blind and deaf, and walking into doors and walking funny after that. But she was a good dog for years we did have her:)
