*pictures to come*

Hey everyone, I’m back from Cedar Point! I missed you all soooo much!! :( :hugs:
I am happy to be back in Canada for sure, but I’m also disappointed. Going to Cedar Point was the best thing that’s happened in my life in such a long time, and I’m just sad that it’s all over. The few days that I was there went by too fast. There was it’s ups and downs (not just on the roller coasters), but overall it was so wicked! My little review and such will be up momentarily :p

I slept over at my aunt’s place (the one who was taking me to CP) on Saturday and woke up at 8:00am on Sunday to get ready for our trip to the US. After we got some coffee and food into us we started to load stuff into the car. By 9:30 everything was in and we were ready to leave for the long drive there.

I forget exactly what time we finally got to the US border, but it seemed like forever lol. It wasn’t as bad as I expected getting across because they didn’t go through our stuff. They just wanted to see ID and asked where we were going and how long we’d be there. After a short drive, we stopped and got some food. It was 2:20pm at this point and we still had another like 2 hours before actually arriving at CP. We checked into our hotel and went straight up to our room to chill for a bit. When I glanced over at the clock it said 4:30pm. After unloading our stuff and chillin’ for a bit, we decided to head to the park. Thankfully our hotel is actually located within the park so like within a 5-minute walk we are inside the park.

Needless to say, I was quite worried about going on my first ride for I hadn’t been on a roller coaster in many years, nor had I ever been there before to know what the rides were like! My cousin (who’s 11) suggested we go on The Magnum XL-200 because she had been on it before and said it’s not that bad. Looking up at it, it didn’t seem “that bad” so I agreed to go on it. Oh boy that was a mistake!!! That ride was waaaaay too much for my first! It was just way too bumpy, had too many turns, and it went in tunnels, which I wasn’t expecting and which I think was the worst part. I was shaking like crazy after that ride and didn’t want to go on anything else lol! Here’s a picture of the ride from the Cedar Point website…

It’s a crappy picture, but it will have to do until I upload my own pictures :p

The park closed at 8:00pm so we only had a couple hours in which to go on some rides. The rides in which we decided to go on, we went on twice in a row…except for the Magnum lol. It was about 7:45pm and had time for one more ride. This wasn’t what either of us expected! My cousin said she had been on this ride and said I would get a little wet. We got on the ride and start going and it was nice and peaceful, then she says “This doesn’t seem like the same one I went on.” I look around and notice there is a HUGE drop coming up. We go down this drop and we got friggin’ soaked from head to toe!!! We didn’t feel as stupid when the people behind us said they didn’t know it was a big water ride either lol.

Here’s a picture of the ride once again from the CP website…

I was wearing jeans and a white T-shirt when going on this ride. What a pretty site that must have been  There was like 5 minutes left till the park closed and my cousin said she wanted to go on it again, but I wasn’t up for that so she went on alone. Her parents aren’t big on rides of any kind so that’s why they didn’t go on like any of them. After that we went back to the hotel room and dried off and had some hot chocolate, watched TV, then went to bed.

Woke up around 8:30am and had some breakfast and coffee. We then got dressed and ready to spend a full day in the park! Unfortunately my uncle wasn’t feel 100% this day so he didn’t come with us. Not that he would have gone on any rides, but that wasn’t quite the point. So it was just my aunt, my cousin and I for most of the day. Again, whatever rides we went on, we basically went on twice…except for the rides my aunt came with us on because they weren’t too exciting…like the Ferris wheel and Sky ride which are basically calm rides with a nice view of the entire park.

Since the day we had arrived there, there were 2 roller coasters I wanted to go on, but was too chicken to even consider. Although after going on the Ferris wheel I suddenly had the urge to go on one of those rides. This was actually one of the first rides I spotted when I first entered the park. You can’t help but notice it! It goes way up in the air, then drops back down. Seems simple, but the height of this bad boy roller coaster is shocking!!! You can hear this ride from like a mile away. Everyone turns their heads when they hear the cart going up and watch in awe as it drops back down. I found it quite hilarious that not matter how many times you see it, you always turn your head and look! So yeah, I suddenly felt like I had to go on this ride! We got up really close to it and watched a few carts go by before deciding to get in line. This ride was called The Dragster! I noticed there was a little thing that shows how fast that particular cart goes when it zooms by… 120-mph!!!! I also noticed a little sign that had some details about the ride like the track length and stuff and this ride was 420 feet tall! I thought the Millennium Force was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the park, but it’s only 310 feet and goes 93-mph! This little sign also said that it reaches the speed of 120 mph in approximately four seconds. My aunt said she’d buy us a T-shirt of this ride if we went on it. My cousin wanted the T-shirt, but didn’t want to go on the ride lol. Well after reading all the info on the ride and seeing how fast it goes so up close, I admit I got kind of scared. My cousin was freaked out to the max, but I convinced her to get in line with me. While waiting in line we met this guy and his son who saw my cousin was scared and they started talking to her and calming her down. He said he had been on this ride 150 times and said we had nothing to worry about. He then said “Now when the next cart gets back to the start, look at the faces of all the people that had just been on it. You won’t see one crying person. All you’ll see are happy faces. Believe me, after riding it one time, you’ll want to go on it again!” He was right though because not one crying person ever got off the ride! The time came and we were next in line and I felt like I was gonna pee my pants! I couldn’t believe I was in line for such a ride! When I got in the seat I suddenly became super-excited…and my cousin??? Well, she began to cry. I kept rubbing her back and telling her if we die, we’ll at least die together (aren’t I comforting?). Well the cart started to go forward then stopped. The whole time there is sound like how a racing car sounds before it takes off. Then a voice comes on and says “Keep arms down, head back and hold on!” There came the wetting on my pants feeling again lol. The cart slowly started to move backwards then we were launched!!!! Going up the ride was the worst part really. Then the view from at the very top just before we’re about to go straight down was amazing! I would have killed to have a camera with me up there, although I wouldn’t have let go LOL. The drop down was quite the feeling! I can’t even begin to explain it! Next thing I knew the ride was over. My cousin was happy as hell and couldn’t believe she had just gone on it, and neither could I really! It was totally A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We then went over to the little photo place and my aunt bought us each a copy of the pictures it took of us on the ride. It takes a pic just before you’re about to go up, and one just after you come down. She kept her promise and bought us a T-shirt. We were both tired from waiting in line and were totally drained from the excitement of not believing we had gone on this ride, so we went back to the hotel to calm down.

Here’s a couple pics from the website…

After having some dinner we went to this arcade type place in the hotel itself. There was this crane game thing filled with SpongeBob SquarePants stuffed toys. My cousin loves SpongeBob and wanted a toy. My aunt gave us each some money but I didn’t really see anything that interested me. My cousin tried her darndest to get a SpongeBob but just couldn’t so I used my money to try and help her. Suddenly this guy comes over and watches, and tries to help me. I ran out of quarters and he said, “Here hun, let me help” and started putting in his own money to the machine and I said “No man, it’s okay, you don’t have to do this.” I really didn’t know what to say because this guy didn’t know me and he was spending his money on me. My cousin finally got a SpongeBob, but since this guy thought I really wanted one, he kept putting in more and more money and trying to win me one! After him spending like well over 2 dollars on me, he finally got one and said “Yay! Haahaa, there ya go sweetie!! Just remember the nice guy from Canada won you that!” I then told him that I live in Canada as well and I gave him a half hug…just basically put my arm around him and I thanked him. I wasn’t going to give him a full hug in fear he’d get the wrong idea lol. We went back to the hotel room and pretty much went right to sleep.

Not too much to say about this day. We knew it was going to be cold and rainy (the leftovers from Hurricane Katrina) so we decided to go to the Water Park. Few rides were running this day and so lots of people had the idea to go the water park as well. I’ve never really been too fond of water so I didn’t do much lol. Water Park opened at 11:00am and we spent a good 4 hours there messing around, before the weather got worse and were practically forced to go back to the hotel.

Not too much to say about this day either as it was our last day at CP. We got up, had breakfast and loaded stuff into the car. My uncle wanted to leave at 12:00…12:30 at the latest to head home. By the time we were done all that stuff it was 11:00. We had like an hour in which to go on some rides. I asked my cousin if she wanted to go on one ride again what would it be and she said The Dragster. We wanted to go on the Millennium Force as well, but there just wasn’t enough time for both as the line-ups were long!!! When we were finally next in line to get on, we spotted the same guy that had been talking to us in line the first time we went on. He was still in his seat waiting for the cart to go back to the start, but he recognized us too and he yelled, “I told ya you’d want to go on it again!” The ride was just as thrilling as it was the first and I am so mad at myself for putting off going on that ride for so long! I will always remember the feeling of being up so high and I will always have that picture & T-shirt of the first time I went on it though. By far this was the best ride I went on!!! :D

It was about 12:45 by the time we finally left the US and it was about 8:30 by the time we finally got home. We were caught in traffic due to construction so the drive home took longer than expected.

The only downside to the whole trip was the drive there & back with my cousin being annoying and crying that she never gets what she wants and stuff. She’s always been spoiled and anything in the Souvenir shop she said she wanted, she got, and she’d still cry! Overall going to the US was the best decision I made and I’d totally want to go back, but go on more rides.

As mentioned in my first post, my own pictures are going to come...I just dunno when :funny:
