Domani......I'm going on holiday! :D Have a good couple of weeks everyone, don't let anything fun happen until I get back!

Have fun there Paul. I was there for 3 days and I drove a Ferrari 550 Maranello (It belongs to my wife's dad) :bow: And I went to AC Milan vs Siena game where Milan won 3-1 :D
Got back last night - I'm now going through the usual depression and post holiday blues. :cry:
I love Italy, I go most years because I'm part Italian and even if I wasn't I still would go!
OK so I really did have a gelato everyday......other than the ice cream I actually ate really healthily, lots of Capresi salads (tomato, mozzarella and olive oil). Not much to tell really, half the holiday was on the beach being lazy and relaxing and the other half shopping and seeing places. There were some pretty bad thunderstorms but luckily they were in the night so the weather was quite nice.
I went to see Puccini's house which was amazing - I love opera and my great great grandfather studied together with Puccini in Milan so its quite an interest for me, they both wrote opera......... its like the pop music of its time and will be listened to forever. Puccini was actually unpopular at the time and was slated by the critics, but still went on to become possibly the greatest writer of opera in history, so I see nothing changes there then! :rolleyes: Most of his music is still known and even heard on the football terraces and is still performed by pop stars these days. So that was a nice part of the holiday for me to see his house......
I went to Lucca which is a really beautiful city and cycled (yes, me) around the city walls, really beautiful and nice shops! I went up an ancient tower which was pretty scarey at the top but an amazing view. Didn't go to see the Leaning Tower because I went there last time.
Watched lots of TV, they had Miss Italia 2005 on which was pretty funny - it started with 100 contestants and they go up against each other until its down to 50. That took TWO full evenings of TV, I have no idea what happened since because the next 2 nights are the next rounds and I had to come home...... :funny: I guess in about a month maybe we'll have a winner. The funniest bit is when they have to show off a talent. Some are really talented and can play piano, whereas one girl's talent was to spread chocolate on a biscuit. :uhh: Its just like Miss Congeniality, hilarious.
The hotel was nice and the highlight was when my sister and her boyfriend came and stayed over for a few days. He proposed to her on the hotel roof! Quite an unforgettable holiday......
It's taken all night to catch up on the forums news! How many birthdays have there been?!!! :shocked:

Thanks everyone! I'd say its good to be back except it isn't! :funny: As soon as we crossed the English Channel the whole of the UK was covered in thick cloud..... :rolleyes: I'm not a good flyer but the views were amazing, I saw Geneve, Paris and London (going over) from the air, it was amazing to see Hyde Park as a tiny green patch and thinking I was there not long ago.
I don't really have any photos to show, most are of family really......I should have taken some of ice-cream and pizza for everyone! I spent most of the time on the beach, I don't think of taking photos. If you want to see pics of the area I went to have a look at Tuscany or Toscana on the web, that will show where I went. Very beautiful. :love:

Bruce Willis was one of the judges. Lucky guy........ :rolleyes: I've decided.........I'm supporting Italy in Miss World, :D and the way the England football players are behaving I might end up supporting Italy in the World Cup too at this rate. :rolleyes: I've never seen so many spoilt brats, I used to love watching England! Now I only watch them for the Liverpool players if they are playing.

I'm English..... :funny:
It was sad because it was the end of the season and they were packing all the umbrellas up when we left. But to us that was still warm enough to go on the beach! Now I'm home it feels cold......God knows what winter will be like!
I'm off again, same place! :funny:
Back in 10 days, this time I'll eat 2 ice-creams and 2 pizzas each day for each and every one of you....:kiss: :p

Thanks, I will, its just going to be a relaxing holiday and maybe some days going to see some sights, hopefully Florence. It all depends on the weather, if it's sunny then more time on the beach...
I know how you feel, it's worse when you get back, you just want to go back there, it's such a beautiful place. Wonder if they'll be judging Miss Italia again this year?!!
