Just curious... If I say Jutland is a part of Denmark, would you know what part I was talking about?

I have to make a translation of an extract of a toursit brochure for my translation class and I was just wondering how to translate "Jylland" (Jutland).

Well, I guess I am familiar with the name, because of the famous World War I navy battle called the "Battle of Jutland" (and we studied World War I in my school history)

I guess you could say it is the North/ North west region of Denmark? :uhh:

But don't quote me on that :funny: :hide:

...Well, you know my memory though... :uhh:

Me neither, its worrying.....I'm supposed to know this stuff! I guess its called this because it happened off the Danish coast. Other than that I don't know anything about Jutland.

Why are you supposed to know?

There's not much to know other than it's a part of Denmark and during summer the west coast is full of German tourists:p

Well it says it was the biggest sea battle of the first World War and I did history 'A' level at school. Worrying. Blame the teacher.

yeah I'm going to Frederecia. I¨m going for escape but I'm also going to go to study. A year is the time that I am setting for my stay. However my prophecy-cards say that it is going to be longer because love is going to blossom. :D I hope that is true.

Cool!:D Frederecia is like 1 hour ( I think) away from where I live.

Where/what are you going to study? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm curious:p

cool, its okey you can ask, it's not secret

I'm gonna go to one of those folkehøjskoler, I've got accepted into the one I wanted the most. I'm gonna learn some design, play the guitar, sing, some languages and maybe something else fun. I've figured that booklearning schools are not ideal for me.
