Please pray for me, I just received some potentially very bad news yeaterday. OK, so as a part of the pre work stuff, I had to take a TB test. Well, it may have turned out positive. I have a red spot where they did the shot, and they did X rays, but they said the x rays look ok, but they're sending them to a radiology lab to be sure. I hope with all my heart I don't have it, because I wouldn't be able to work in the assisted living home, and because it's highly contagious and I'd have to be on antibiotics for 6-9 months. So I'm very, very upset right now and would appreciate all the prayers I can get that things are good and I don't have TB so I can work.

Well a chest X-ray can't diagnose TB itself, but it helps, sometimes we have some calcified lymphatic nodes and it could be related with having had TB in the past, but the bacilloscopy is more important for diagnosing it.
But I'm pretty sure you don't have TB, don't know why, but I don't think so. Take care and tell me what's going to happen.

BTW, the initial regimen for TB treatment means taking 4 drugs during 2 months first and 2 drugs during 4 months :shocked:

The nurse who x rayed me said it would take a few days, since they have to send it to a radiology lab to be sure I don't have it.

Well, my mom's friend just told her she had had a TB test, got the red spot, had the x rays, and she was fine. Her doctors had told her that she may have been exposed to it at one time but she didn't have it. So it turned out to be a false positive, and we're hoping it turns out the same for me.

LOL thanks y'all! But now I got a positive drug screening for codine, but I was taking cough syrup with codine in it for my bad cough.
