240-acre underground city for sale in the U.K.
Cold War City is an underground complex near Bath, England and it’s now for sale to the highest bidder. Originally a bunker meant to house top government officials in the event of a Soviet nuclear attack, the 240-acre subterranean city includes 60 miles of roads and its own rail station. The property is valued at £5 million and the government is currently courting two propositions for the property’s future: a data store for businesses and, somewhat unsurprisingly, “the biggest wine cellar in Europe.”
