I figured it's so long since I've been here now that I should probably say hi! :)
My name is Phil from Sheffield, England.
You may remember me from such websites as www.shania.org (1998-2001) and as Matt's one time Shania Forums Admin buddy.
( Hey Matt, whatever happened to that new Shania.net design? :p )
Hopefully I'll be posting on here a bit more often now and getting to know everyone again (Marika, Laura, Matt and Silvi especially... PM me guys if you want my new email address as I never remember to check the hotmail one!)
These days my time is occupied with working for Telewest (UK Cable Telco) Business Operations department, spending time with my wife of nearly 2 years Leigh, and watching CSI, Alias and 24. Big fan of anything motorsport related especially F1 (finally a world champion that isnt Schumacher for a change!) Also just became a fan of ice hockey since seeing Sheffield Steelers play the London Racers at the Sheffield Arena last Friday. Hoping to go to quite a few more home matches next year.
Anyway, thats enough for now :) See you all around on the forums!

When I first became a big Shania fan I used to visit your website actually, so thanks again for that! It kind of helped me learn all about her. Hope you are well!
BTW, I'm living in Sheffield too, I'm studying at Sheffield Hallam Uni.

Always nice to hear that my site helped introduce more people to Shania's music and to find out more about her. It's a shame I had to stop running it but it was either that or stop looking for a job, and running a website sadly doesnt pay the bills (unless you're Google that is.. ;))
BTW, I'm living in Sheffield too, I'm studying at Sheffield Hallam Uni.
That's the same uni I went to, I left in 2001. What are you studying?

Good for you! I have a great respect for people who choose careers that allow them to help others. How long until you graduate?
Oh, and if you're living in Sheffield I think your location should say South Yorkshire ;)

Its one of the reasons I decided to do it......I worked in a bank for a few years and hated it. All my hard work basically was going towards making profit for the people running the firm, I realised if I put this much effort into something meaningful it would be a lot more rewarding. And I won't mention how much fun it is too! No day is the same, unlike "the groundhog days" I used to have.
What did you study? Were you in the city campus?
I have a the rest of this year and then another one after that until I (hopefully) graduate. Hmm yes maybe I am South Yorkshire now......although listening to some of the accents around the place I still feel like a bit of a foreigner!

BSc (Hons) Computing Networks and Communications. We were one of the first years to take it at City Campus as I remember going the previous year to look around and being shown around the old site near (I think) the old John Smith's Brewery..

It's cold here but no snow yet.. When we do get snow you can bet the whole country will practically grind to a halt again though, even if its less than an inch.. :rolleyes:
Oh, and do you have any new piccies to show for us?

We went to my dad's yesterday - just back today to see him as only chance around xmas. We're working most of Xmas and my b-day so nothing special you?
Oh, okay. At least you got some family time now :)
I do have Christmas off and going to see mom and family, it will be nice :love:
