Last time we had a poll like this, it ended up being the Greatest Hits released on November 2004.
Now it's time to guess again :p

Well, at first I thought the album will be out around the middle of the year, but if they did not started to record it, and than they have to prepare all the promotion tuff, which tooks another months, november seems to be the optimal again, after 1997, 2002, 2004.
Hope they can make it....

I said later than March 2007. Just have a funny feeling it's gonna be another break like the one between COO and Up! I hope I am wrong though, I'd love to see one by November. Who knows maybe we will FINALLY get a Christmas album November 2006 and a all new album November 2007.

heh... I don't think anyone here has any inside information on the subject of the next album, rather it's a well educated guess based on knowledge on the previous releases... ;)
I myself will refrain from throwing in any guesses, though I will admit November 2006 being a pretty good one... but based on Shania's most recent interviews, it could be a much latter date: a duet album would be pretty difficult to perform live & a covers album is more like showcasing one's favorite influences... I don't look at such releases being that groundbreaking in an artist's career...
I still consider the Greatest Hits album to be a closing of an era, a major milestone in one's songwriting career & would much rather see Shania coming out with new exciting material she has written herself... without any shred of doubt, an artist seeks to create art that pleases both herself and the audience - without rushing too much into things... as: " what we do in life echoes in eternity. "

because be honest, this is just sound bogus.
According to Shania,she did not even finished to write and got into the studio, so no title yet...And she never reveals before the album is coming out what is the direction of it.
And quite the opposite what lately she said in interviews. When she talked about future album plans, and touring actually.
I don't think she would reveal any of her long running plans so early.
This sounds to me like someone made up some predictions for her for 2006 :

The thing is, anybody can edit the Wikipedia, and previously a well known Shania hater had edited it. This current entry looks like another one, by the same person, or someone else.
When you look at the writing there about Shania, it uses lots of negative words, some hidden, some more prominent and it contains all the elements that one or more people have bashed Shania about and have had fixations about.

The Wikipedia online dictionary was a nice idea, but there are plenty of questionable theories, myths and downright absolutely incorrect information.
It can be used as a point of reference, when looking for other sources of information on a certain subject, but even those links must be approached with an critical eye.

the Wikipedia "article" about Shania was changed by a basher, who was even banned from here.
The future plans is clearly the friuts of this person imagination.
We constantly editing out the incorrect facts and negative personal assumptions this [person is putting in Shania's bio. This made up story won't stay long either.

As mentioned earlier, the Shania News & Articles forum is for news, with a given reliable source.
The General Shania Discussion forum is for posts of opinions, predictions, speculation and such.
The posts were merged into an existing thread on the somewhat similar topic. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to PM You about the transfer - sorry about that. And we don't shoot messengers. (hardly ever)

Wikipedia is a useless source half the time. People kept editing the best selling artist page (inflating the sales of their favorites, deflating others) so the page was eventually locked.
