How do all y'all say Merry Christmas and happy New Year in your language?
Icelandic:

I failed miserably - a week in Krakow, and I only managed to pick up some key phrases... :sad:
...but I was surprised to notice how few spoke any English - German seems to be a lot more popular over there... :uhh:
Otherwise, I was HUGELY impressed: GREAT sights to see, EXCELLENT food and WONDERFUL people to meet..! :]

No... - unless you make the German tourists work in stores & restaurants..! :p
I think the line runs somewhere with people in their 30's..? - people under the age of 30 spoke pretty good English...

You might be right about the age factor - young people would usually speak good English, but let's say my parents' generation for example would speak German or Russian.
And yeah, Krakow is a very historic city :)
