When Were Shaniaforums Founded?

What year did the forums begin? Who are the long time members here? I became a member in 2000.

Matt started it Jan 20 2000.. If you search the Memberlist for Ascending Join Dates you can see the old timers from day one or two.

Heh, I will have been here 6 years in July! I can't believe that it's been that long. Time definitely does fly, and so much has happened since July 27th, 2000. I was getting ready to enter the 7th grade. :shocked: I've had a great time here though, and have seen many members come and go throughout the years. It would be nice if a lot of them would come back and rejoin the discussion. Whatever happened to Matt? I haven't talked to him in years..... does he still maintain this site? :smirk:

I joined only in 2002, I thought I joined in 2001. Huh go figure, my brain is mush. :p The thing that gets me is, if my sister hadn't of died I would've never been able to join. We'd probably be blowing all our money trying to un-hawk all my neice's stuff out of pawn. There just would've been no money for a puter, just an endless cycle of unwillingly supporting my sisters huge Crack habbit.

i'm so glad the forums have lasted that long and they're still going strong and ain't goin' down;):p i became a member in November 2005, as you can all see, and this has been one of the most pleasant online experiences i've ever had...

I am still relatively new here still comparing to some others. I joined on October 2nd 2004. It seems like such a long time although it hasn't even been 2 years yet. This thread has made me look into my threads,that I've made, in past. And I see some very random stuff. what was i thinking...... I didn't beginn posting regularly here untill early 2005 though. I like this place a lot. I come here EVERY day. I'm hooked or should I say addicted to these forums. The best forums I have ever known.

I like this place also, as I like STC Board and Shaniafans.com too. Especially these slow times the discussion stays really nice and polite. I don't like boards where people use bad language and any other wise try to "outsmart" everyone.

I agree. The online Shania community is the only place I've been were I haven't experienced the bad things you've pointed out. I've given up trying to get involved with other message boards.

It is really all you guys that make this place worth visiting, Shania fans are awesome bunch, we try and maintain this place a friendly place where you can enjoy visiting and posting your opinions without the fear of being attacked for it. The best reward for me is seeing all the friends get together sharing fun times, laughter and discussing all things Shania. :D:up:

Mine says October 2003, but I remember there was a mixup on my time here. If I remember right, I originally joined around 2001, but when they put me back in, it was the current date. I don't do a lot of posting here, mostly reading.:)

WOW, on Tuesday (August 22nd) will be 1 year, i remember the day i found the forum, it was the day after my 16th birthday, i just got my 1st computer and was looking for some news on a new Shania album. But i also remember finding the forum back in 2003 but did not join, because i didn't really know what it was and wasn't much into forums, but now days that the 1st place i go for artist news, and i have probaby joined about 20-30 forums for differeent artist and some sports forums. but i have to say that the Shania Forums is by far the best forum i have ever founded and is the Most fun i have on the net. I would like to thank everyone here who made me a part of the forum, it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. THANK YOU ALL

6 years, close to 7 years of SHANIA FORUMS in some months going on.. oh, that's cool to know that. I hope more shaniaforums years later, it's wonderful to get to know about this dates, well, my doubt is, have the shania forums had this look since they were started in 2000?....
