1/26/2006 - SHeDAISY TO RELEASE FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM “FORTUNETELLER’S MELODY”
ON MARCH 14th
Lyric Street Records announces the upcoming release of the fourth studio album from multi-platinum selling artist SHeDAISY. The new CD, Fortuneteller’s Melody, is set for release March 14, 2006.
SHeDAISY worked with reigning Grammy Producer of the Year, John Shanks, who has produced and/or co-written with Sheryl Crow, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, Melissa Etheridge, Keith Urban and many more. Fortuneteller’s Melody was recorded with Shanks at Henson Studios in Hollywood, CA and Reba McEntire's Starstruck Studios in Nashville, TN.
Kristyn Osborn of SHeDAISY co-wrote eleven of the twelve songs on the new CD including the current hit single, “I’m Taking The Wheel.” Sheryl Crow, John Shanks, and Kristyn Osborn collaborated to write two of the tracks, “Whatever It Takes” and “Healing Side.” Fans of ABC’s Desperate Housewives can also find “God Bless The American Housewife” on the new CD. The video for this track is climbing the charts on CMT’s “Top 20 Countdown".

I'm looking forward to this. Their voices harmonise very well, it's a pleasure listening to their albums, rather easy going material, but enough uptempo for me :p
Hope this one will be good also.

-- SheDaisy member Kelsi Osborn and husband, Steve, are expecting a baby, and are excited and thrilled about the news, saying "We feel very blessed to be able to start our family."
The couple, married eight years, should be changing diapers by late summer. Don't know if the baby is a SheDaisy or a HeDaisy
I just saw their new video of I'm taking the wheel and I like it

Does that mean they have a Canadian and American version of the Album, because up here its God Bless The Canadian Housewife? All this time I thought they wrote a song about Canada, nope they just changed the lyrics.

I don't think so Sean.

SHeDaisy reborn
'Fortuneteller's Melody' marks a whole new approach to recording, touring and even family for the Utah-raised country trio
Dan Nailen
The Salt Lake Tribune
Kelsi Osborn is the 31-year-old middle sister of the Magna-raised country trio SHeDAISY, and she's now spent more than half her life living in Nashville. If that makes you think she's any less a Utahn, think again. Her parents still live here, as do her brother, three nieces and entire extended family. And when she reminisces about the formative experiences of her childhood, many are events shared with kids from across the Beehive State.
"My first concert was a Donny and Marie concert in Utah, and I had to have been 5 or 6 years old," Osborn said in an interview from Nashville. "I thought I was so cool because my middle name was Marie."
It makes sense that Osborn would be drawn to the "little bit country" half of Utah's most famous musical duo, considering that SHeDAISY is now an established country group that has sold more than three million copies of its first three albums and boasts six Top 10 country singles since 1999.
On Tuesday, Kelsi and her sisters Kristyn and Kassidy release their fourth album, "Fortuneteller's Melody," and the set marks a rebirth for the Osborn sisters in more ways than one. They worked with a new producer, recorded the album in a whole new way and plan on touring more than ever to support the album. And with Kelsi's pregnancy - she and husband Steve are expecting in August - SHeDAISY will be working alongside the first SHe-baby.
"It's going to be a whole new world when we're out on the road, being a mom," Osborn said.
Motherhood and family are topics the sisters have talked about regarding SHeDAISY's career, she added. "Every one of us wanted the opportunity to be a mom one day and have families. I guess you just kind of grow with the situation. Kristyn says, 'I guess we'll just have to turn one of the bunks into a crib-bunk.¹ ²
Osborn said the best advice she could get will probably come from other touring country mamas like Faith Hill, Martina McBride and Sara Evans, all artists who managed to combine a new family with touring.
So far Osborn's had a "really good" pregnancy with no morning sickness to speak of, allowing her to tend to band business at a vital time in SHeDAISY's career. Their gold-selling third album, 2004's "Sweet Right Here," marked a comeback of sorts after a commercially disappointing sophomore set, "Knock on the Sky," and the group is trying to build on its success with "Fortuneteller's Melody."
To that end, SHeDAISY changed producers for the first time, recruiting John Shanks for the job. A producing and writing veteran who's worked with the likes of Sheryl Crow, Bon Jovi and Kelly Clarkson, Shanks had forged a songwriting relationship with Kristyn that made him a natural choice, despite his lack of country credentials. o
The sisters wanted to try something new, and they got just that in working with Shanks, Osborn said. Kelsi and Kassidy never met him until they were at the studio to start recording, and Shanks and Kristyn often were writing new songs as Kelsi and Kassidy were sent to different rooms to work on their individual vocal parts, a new approach for the group.
"We were all spread apart, and I would go in [the studio] and be like, 'I don't know what I'm going to sing!¹ ² Osborn said. "And he was like, Let's just see what happens. Let's be spontaneous.¹ It really motivated us to step outside of that box and be more creative and push ourselves to find something deep down inside of us. It was something I didn't know we could do." o
The results should thrill SHeDAISY fans; tracks including "Whatever It Takes,² ³23 Days" and "I'm Taking the Wheel" are as strong as anything Kristyn has written to date.
The video for "I'm Taking the Wheel," featuring actor Aaron Eckhart, is already in rotation on country TV channels, and SHeDAISY is the "Artist of the Month" on the Great American Country channel.
Ed Hill, programming director for K-BULL 93 FM in Salt Lake City, sees nothing but great things ahead for the group. Between Kristyn's rock-solid songwriting, entertaining videos and the strength of the group's singles, leading to plenty of radio requests from country fans, SHeDAISY is delivering "fun and a modern femininity" in their music that could take them far, Hill said. And they've already taken some professional and personal trials in stride.
"They have a real solid career, not just here, but across the country," Hill said. "They came out as a sort of a pop, fun 'chick band,' and they're evolving into a younger woman, adult stance."
With the string of singles sure to follow "I'm Taking the Wheel" onto the airwaves, SHeDAISY plans more extensive touring. Early in their career, Osborn said, they didn't want to tour too much until they built up a catalog of songs the fans would recognize. Now four albums into their career, SHeDAISY is ready for the road.
"We can do a show of hit songs. We can do a show of singles that people know, which is the greatest feeling," Osborn said. "I think that's one of our strengths, the live show. And that's my favorite part of the whole process. The immediate interaction with fans. The adrenaline rush before you go on stage. The spontaneity that happens on stage. It's my favorite part. I love that part."

I was very fond of the time they were asked if it was the Dixie Chicks who influenced and opened up doors for them; and they responded, no it was more like Shania who did that for them. :)
Why are these ancient threads being revived??  :uhh:

Because it is easier than starting a new thread.
