Do you work out? http://www.saunalahti.fi/~oskarila/sekal/s/workout.gif
Go to the gym? Do any sports regularly?
Not really.....
I kind of think you're body goes the way it's supposed to depending on your lifestyle. If I did a physical job or was a sportsman then I would, but I can't see the point in developing muscles I don't use and then spending the rest of my life trying to stop them turning to fat.......
I should get more excerise, but I'm not a gym-type person. I walk the dog when I'm home and I walk quite a lot to and from uni, maybe 3 miles a day at the moment so I think my fitness is about right. If I wanted to lose weight I would work out though, but I can't put weight on even if I want to. :uhh:
Nice avatar by the way! :p

i used to when my friend lived here as i was trying to get her into a "healthy" lifestyle, since shes only 25 and weights about 220 lbs. maybe more and shes close to my height i thought by suporting her and goin to the gym with her it would help.... now that shes moved away, i ride my mountain bike , rollerskate and walk my dog regularly. and i don't do this to lose weight as im afraid i would look very ill if i lost weight as most of my friends already call me bones becuz im thin i just am naturally an active person ..... a little history of my youth :from the time i was 8 till i was 18 i played soccer and during my highschool years i ran cross country for the school track team! on top of all that i went dirt biking, hiking, long walks, rode my mountain bike to and from school which was about 4 miles one direction. i also rollerbladed played street hockey,oh can't leave out softball, played american football with the guys! rode my bike to all my friends homes when i went to visit , and and that was my in my free time on almost a daily bases!
:uhh: i think i got it right now haha after editing it 2 times :funny:
Nice avatar by the way! :pIt snowed a lot here :p
from the time i was 8 till i was 18 i played soccer (american)Which do you mean, american football or soccer?
American soccer as a term is unfamiliar to me, is there a form of soccer that is only in America?

no I don't use money on it, but I Run and do sit ups ;)
Not really. I walk a lot (3-4 miles a day) and stay active, but I don't purposfully do anything to stay in shape, I don't have the patience to do it.

Does sitting on the couch watching Shania video's count, I know some of them can really get my heart rate going. I walk and thats pretty much it, I enjoy the odd walk every now and then.

Same here! I have lots of stress on my work that replaces sports in any way. I am walking through my store the whole day... ;) Anyway, I don't have the time for doing any work out. Working almost 9 hours a day is work out enough... :p
Fitness is one of my hobbyhorses so I can't resist commenting here.
When we are young, we get health and beauty for nothing (if we are lucky). But as we get older, that ain't so. If we don't exercise regularly, we pay a price.
Everyone knows that obesity and clogged arteries lead to heart attacks but the deterioration as we age is much worse than that. Every year after the age of 50, we lose 2% of our previous muscle mass. This is due to diminishing sex hormones (male and female). So, at age 70, we will have 40% less muscle mass than we did at 50. Ever notice how many old men seem to have shrunken shoulders, hunched backs and spindly arms? Well, the good news is, that doesn't have to happen but we gotta work at it. I am a devotee of strength training not because I have any interest in having bulging muscles, but because I don't want to weaken if I don't have to and also because osteoporosis is rampant in our family, and that doesn't have to happen either. So, yes, I go to the gym. I may still be too heavy but I am stronger than most men half my age and I am much less likely to have osteoporosis than my dad.
A word of advice: get informed before either aerobic exercise or weight training. When I was younger, I ran for over 25 years but I read a lot about it and attended training seminars. Ditto for weights. I took introductory and intermediate strength training before I started. If you do weights incorrectly, you can injure yourself for life.

I bike almost every day when I have to go places, and then a few times a week I run for 30 mins, and do sit-ups afterwards. If I have been home all day studying or just doing nothing it's really nice to get out and get some exercise.

For the last few years I was working, my job was pretty stressful. Running saved my sanity. It got rid of my tensions and made my mood more cheerful. There was a psychiatrist in California about 25 years ago by the name of Kostrubala (sp?) who had some success treating his depressed patients by getting them into a running program.

I have started again. I have over Ten Years pause. Well those who see me in Helsinki, can say that pause wasnt good for me. Nowdays I have started little more sporty. Thats why I'm more outside or weightlifting than sitting in my computer and writing in Forums  .
Well Nowdays I walk at least 6 Kilometer per day (sometimes over 10 Kilometer) and do abs at daily (Ok one rest day in week). Summer I go biking and walking even more, usually at home from work about 12 Kilometers).
Mostly I do some weightlifting (two day training and one rest day).
I have still much fat to burn but I dont look ball with legs and arms anymore. :D
I go to the gym twice a week, fitness. Like running/ crosstrainer etc. In summer I play tennis and I go skating a lot too .. :)
At the moment I go to the gym only once a week because of my health condition..
Oh I almost forgot: I cycle to school everyday, which takes an hour in total. (It's usual in Holland to go to school by bike)
In the winter, the main things I do are only some one arm curls (30lbs; not much, I know), situps, pushups, and biking. In the summer, do that as well as some running, climbing, benching and pullups; seeing as my pullup bar is a tree branch, and the bench in the garage. Working on a vehicle can provide to get those muscles you don't get with regular weightlifting; being you're in some extremely uncomfortable position cranking on a rusty nut or bolt; then it lets go and you scrape your knuckles or slam your arm or elbow into something.
