Feb 16th, 2006
By Phyllis Stark
United Stations Radio Networks has extended its relationship with Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase, who are professionally known as Crook & Chase, signing them to a multi-year deal to host a five hour daily, syndicated show. The show, which launches March 27 will be available to affiliates nationwide with a primary feed coming from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (ET). The show will re-feed to allow stations in any time zone to us it as their local midday, afternoon or evening show.
The broadcast will originate in Crooks & Chase's home base of Nashville and will feature contemporary country music. Jim Owens Entertainment will co-produce the program with United Stations, and the show will emanate from Jim Owens Productions' Music Row office.
Crooks & Chase also host the long-running "Crook & Chase Countdown" radio show, also distributed by United Stations. The pair has worked together in television and radio since 1983, and spent 16 years hosting "Crook & Chase" on the new defunct The Nashville Network (TNN) and in syndication.
The new Crook & Chase show is United Stations' second foray into full-daypart broadcasting. The network launched the "Nights With Alice Cooper" show two years ago.
