I'd like to inform you all about something that is very important to me.
HARNESSING:
The Icelandic goverment is harnessing several rivers and pieces of land. They intend on building several powerplants and plants where Alumnium is melted and sinking a big part of the land. They are also building a big dam, they have started that. Now, you'd think that this isnt too bad. People are being lied to. But it is bad very bad. It is causing polution and distroying a beautiful country. We are making electricity and energy, more energy that we will ever need here. We make enough electricy to provide electricity for all the appliances that are not being used in the USA. And that is quite a lot. Now, You could say that this none of your business. But it is EVERYBODY's business.
We have been told that these plants will create more jobs and will stabablize the comunity. But that is just a load of bs. The Aluminium companies are all foreign and they import cheap workers to work here. People from Estern Europe(Poland, Russia) and Portuguese people, and are planning on getting Americans as well. So this is not creating jobs for us.
The alumnium that is being melted here, is used for making soda-cans and etc.
Many people drink soda-drinks from cans. America, aka. USA, is a big consumption country. They consume more than most Western countries. The sad part is that they dont do much to make up for all the consuming the do. Most people don't recycle soda-cans and bottles, but just throw them away just like any rubbish. And they dont think about the consiquences of their actions. (This ofcourse also goes for other countries, but I believe that Europians are more aware of these issues than Americans are. But there are always exceptions.) If people would recycle more and if people such as Britney Spears would stop making public contracts to encourrage people to drink soda-drinks, there wouldn't be as much need for alumnium.
Similar things are also happening in Jamaica, their beautiful island is also getting distroyed.
The Icelandic is getting baced around these harnessing, elcectricity and power making and aluminium melting. And when Aluminium will fall down in price or will not be as needed. We will be really screwed and the whole country wil be financially ruined. We will need move away from the country cause there wont be anything here for people.
Other Europian countries have been smart and refused to be a part of this nonsense. (Sweden, Denmark, Germany and more.) Another country that as done a thing that they regret having done is Ireland.
Here are some pictures of the part of the country that will be distroyed and animals that are in danger. Both of coming extinct and loosing their homes,so to speak..... Don't tell me this isn't worth saving!!

I just hope you will think about this. And be aware of what is happening. Do we really want this for coming generations? Do we want them to dislike us for having gone through this......
