for me seeing the sun is the best anti-depressant. And not focusing on all the things that go wrong but one those that go right. Cause sometimes the dog chases the wrong squirrel up the right tree.
Always understand that somebody in the world is worse off than you and realise how lucky you are........

well for me Shania is the best anti depressent .......... i should know i was on the verge of suicide when i saw her on tv for the first time and she almost instantly became something for me to stay alive for and wake up for and look forward to each day .................. 10 years later im still around and not depressed though i get kinda low when i haven't seen heard or watched her on tv for more then a week ! she keeps me going !

True Shania can be a good medicine but when you have depression that is based on a chemical imbalance and it won't go away and you have it 24/7 with anxiety and panic attacks to go with it then antidepressants and therapy are the other things you have to go through. I've done that for 25 years now and I'm still struggling with it. My anxiety is really bad as I got up this morning at 4 am and my stomach was not well at all with all the awful anxiety that's running through me. The other best thing is to talk about it and open your feelings to people who will understand and who are going through it like you are. That's what I like to do...support is the best key.
Look at a picture of Shania. Each day when I wake up the first thing I see is my Shania calender. A perfect way to start the day.

To conquer depression you need a smile and a lot of friends to help you through it. If it's more serious than that you need some professional assistance.

One of the ways i het through depression since at one time i was going through it when we moved from my home town and school about 3 years ago. I was really depressed and would not talk to anyone so all i really did was talk to the only person who knows what im feeling thats god i prayed and talked to hime but i also found my way into country music and listened to that to help reliev some of the stress depression caused. So i wish you well

Get into your hobbies seriously. When I'm very depressed at work...my good Psycologist walks through the door and saves the day. He's 26 inches at his shoulder height and weighs at 81 pounds then barks at anyone who is walking through our doors. And he is my German Shepherd.....He got kicked out of my house and he lives with my boss. She brings him into our work and I play with him on my lunch breaks then I'll sit and relax while petting him to relieve all my stress. He's really good at making me smile. We'll ride all over town together while I'm doing short trips to the post office and gas station.
I think finding a hobbie reading a book or planning a meal and cooking or whatever or in my case music or a book i just can get out of my world and go somewhere that isnt here. Writing down feelings and thoughts helps too and this forum is my writing thearapy. (or a journal)
I find that it isnt good to be at a screen 24/7 but it is good fo a bit to get everything out.
