A girl in England had her fourth birthday party ruined when her mother confiscated a new doll that sang rude words to a nursery rhyme.
The $13 Rosie doll was a gift from Alicia Bell's uncle, and was supposed to sing the "Ring A Ring O' Roses" nursery rhyme.
But at the refrain that should say "atishoo, atishoo we all fall down," the doll substituted a crude reference to a person's buttocks in place of "atishoo," The Mirror reported.
Alicia's mother immediately confiscated the doll, but the damage was done -- her daughter had learned a new word, and enjoys using it.
"We'll be in town and Alicia starts shouting 'a**e, a**e' -- it's so embarrassing," her mother said.
Alicia's uncle has been promised a refund by the Toys R Us store.
Two years ago, another Rosie doll turned up that substituted the rude term for an illegitimate child for "atishoo," the newspaper said.
