VH1 Country channel to become CMT Pure Country

MTV Networks is rebranding its VH1 Country music video channel as CMT Pure Country and is launching a separate broadband network through the CMT Web site called CMT Loaded.
CMT Pure Country is designed to complement the company's CMT network and will feature music videos and exclusively-designed content. The channel is scheduled to launch during the Memorial Day weekend. CMT Pure Country will reach more than 16 million homes via Comcast, Charter, Cox, CableOne, Mediaone, Knology, Cequell II, Armstrong Cable and Blue Ridge Cable.
CMT Loaded will debut this summer and feature country music videos on demand, country music news and original programming and will be available through CMT.com.
Nashville-based CMT is owned and operated by MTV Networks and reaches nearly 81 million households in the United States.
