NEW YORK Katie is gone. And if the idea of Matt and Meredith doesn't float your boat, there will soon be a new choice on morning T-V.
On July third, Britain's B-B-C will start "World News Today." Rather than going live from Rockefeller Center or Times Square, it'll come on at seven A-M Eastern time from London.
And don't expect concerts. Officials are promising a serious newscast.
It will be available on the new B-B-C World news channel which made its U-S debut today. So far, just two (m) million cable T-V customers in the New York City area can see it, but B-B-C officials are working out deals with other cable and satellite companies.
The newscast will be simulcast on B-B-C America, which reaches some 50 (m) million American homes.
