On Page 62 of the July 3, 2006 (http://www.countryweekly.com/images/cw/208872/50507.jpg) issue of "Country Weekly," there's a photo + an article about a girl, and her parents, who had a chance meeting with Shania.
(HERE (http://www.countryweekly.com/images/cw/208872/50507.jpg) is the cover of the issue.)
In the "FANtastic" section (Page 62), there's a Photo of Shania with a fan named Melissa Licciardello, 11.
On that same page, there's also an article that details the story of how Melissa and her parents had a chance meeting with Shania outside the Trump International Hotel & Tower building the day after the 2005 CMA awards.
Here is the article:
Downtown Twain
When the CMA Awards moved to New York City last year, it was as if the stars aligned, in more ways than one, for Melissa Licciardello, 11, of Brooklyn, N.Y. Living in a city that has over 8 million people but no country radio station makes her one unlikely, but lucky, fan---as she learned the day after the November 15 CMA Awards when Melissa and her parents found themselves outside Trump International Hotel & Tower and right in front of Melissa's country idol, Shania Twain. "We are really big fans of Shania's," writes father Tom. "This was the best day of my daughter's life." Shania, who had been staying at Trump International, was happy to talk to the fans from the Big Apple --- even her personal driver, Moe, got to chatting with Melissa, Tom and wife Lisa. "We had Melissa take a picture with Shania outside the hotel," Tom adds, "and Shania also signed my daughter's personal guitar. Who would have guessed --- a little girl from Brooklyn with a country superstar like Shania! We were actually in tears when we left."
