No sense of humour, some people.....I get the feeling they don't like European pop music!

What's the point in those lists? It's only a person or a groups opinion and you can't understand the reasoning behind them because you don't know what they like.

No point, just someone pushing their opinions on everyone. Which I hate.

REDNEX - “Cotton Eye Joe” 1995 (Sex & Violins)

Just what the world needed: a Swedish techno-bluegrass crossover

Novelty European techno is not a genre noted for its multitude of artistic high points, but “Cotton Eye Joe” may well be its nadir. A Country & Western record made by people who evidently hate C&W music with every fiber of their being, it layers a thumping beat with every hillbilly cliché known to man — twanging Jew’s harp, people shouting “yee-haw!”, bluegrass banjo, horses neighing — and then tops it off with a vocalist singing in what may be the most risible American accent ever committed to tape.

A helluva great album, if I do say so myself.

Well, I think:

48. THE BEATLES “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” is brilliant.

I also like:

41. BILLY JOEL “We Didn’t Start the Fire”.

38. REDNEX “Cotton Eye Joe” is always played in our student house, its a classic party song!

I've always liked 35. R.E.M. “Shiny Happy People”, its cheerful and well, happy.

27. EUROPE “The Final Countdown”
"The worst thing to come from both the band and the continent itself." Sorry, but I love it, its a classic...

15 . THE REMBRANDTS “I’ll Be There For You”. Bought it, like it.

10. PAUL McCARTNEY AND STEVIE WONDER. “Ebony and Ivory” Clever, wonderful song, I love both artists. How can anyone criticise this?

7. BOBBY McFERRIN “Don’t Worry Be Happy” Love it, really original, clever and catchy.

CRASH TEST DUMMIES - “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” (clever... clever... clever... clever...) ;)

COREY HART - “Sunglasses At Night” (I remember this guy... something for the girls...) :uhh:

None of Shania's songs is there?!?!!? C'mon.. that is unfair. Everybody else worth something is.. ?!?! :D

And Bryan's The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You is absolutely one my favs... its self-irony is obviously wasted on these guys. But I must say that I know several journalists and music critics and even though they have many good qualities - sense of humor and sarcasm ain't one of them ... :funny: :funny: ...

I have to say Baby Girl of Aqua is a song like me...:D dunno why, maybe because of the rithm, the song itself!:D dunno why it's on that list :dunno:...

I don't knnow why "We Built This City" is ( as far as them) the worst song, I have it on my computer and I'm used to listening whenever I want, it's a good song of the 80s. It's very weird this list  :uhh:

No kidding.

Every "best" or "worst" list is pretty much wasted time... but hey, some years ago one magazine did a "worse 100 albums of all time" list - guess who has all the albums that were in the top 50..? :biglaugh:

What I'd like to see, is artists themselves making such a list & pin pointing out, what *they* afterwards find weak in their work...

That is dangerous.. and sometimes it is done too early. I remember some interview where Lennon said that he HATED Yesterday (and its violins), but it was at the time when they were forced to play it on every gig  :D !

But the results of these list doesn't mean that songs are the worst, to me the majority of them are great, well not many but some songs I know I like!

As many here say it's a waste of time making these list!
