Hey all,Guess this song and who sang it:Well I'm a running down the road trying to loosen my load.I got seven women on my mind.Four that want to own me,two that want to stone me,one says she's a friend of mine. Guess away people.

ok - try to guess what this one is... some years ago, when I first heared the guy who penned it perform an acoustic version of it, made me perhaps for the first time really appreciate the power of the lyrics in this song:

I never meant to be so bad to you
One thing I said that I would never do
A look from you and I would fall from grace
And it would wipe the smile right from my face

Do you remember when we used to dance
And incidents arose from circumstance
One thing led to another, we were young
And we would scream together songs unsung

Hey all,Guess another song:On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair.Warm smell of colitas rising up through the air.Up ahead in the distance I saw a shimmering light. My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim.I had to stop for the night. There she stood in the doorway.I heard the Mission Bell.I was thinking to myself this could be heaven or this could be hell. Then she lit up a candle. And she showed me the way. There were voices down a corrigdor.I thought I heard them say. Guess away people and tell me how you like the song.

Here's another one to ponder on:

Loneliness is your only friend
A broken heart that just won't mend
Is the price you pay

It's hard to take when love grows old
The days are long and the nights turn cold
When it fades away

You hope that she will change her mind
But the days drift on and on
You'll never know the reason why she's gone

You see her face in every crowd
You hear her voice, but you're still proud
So you turn away

You tell yourself that you'll be strong
But your heart tells you
This time you're wrong

You hope that she will change her mind
But the days drift on and on
You'll never know the reason why she's gone

*hint* yesterday I saw/heared it performed live on stage for the first time - and the BEST performance of it, I've EVER heared...

I´m not a big fan myself, but I recognized the lyrics in the back of my head and together with the "hint" the pieces came together.

Empty Rooms, Gary Moore.

Heres a hard one for you people.

What are you changing?
Who do you think you're changing?
You can't change things, we're all stuck in our ways
It's like trying to clean the ocean
What do you think you can drain it?
Well it was poison and dry long before you came

I´m not a big fan myself
I'm travelling to Canada next week to fix that situation. ;)

...it's either Gary Moore - or Lordi. You choose. :p

Empty Rooms, Gary Moore.:D - yep..!

Man, that version last Sunday was amazing. There was a whole section of us fans singing our hearts out with pieces of lungs flying around. Parisienne Walkways (with extended solo in the middle) at the end of the gig just made the whole experience *perfect*.

Just thinking of it makes me smile.

3 encores. To get him back on stage, 12 000 people chanting: "We want Moore". heh.
