Hey everyone! Just wanted to post some news about my cousin and Emerson Drive. Since they opened for Shania on her Up! tour, I thought ya'll would like to hear this.
My cousin was brutally beat June 3rd in Boise, ID and is just now getting to talk and do things. My Uncle Bob is trying to find out who did this with the help of police and all the wonderful people in Boise. My cousin, Eddie is DJ at a country radio station in Boise and they are organizing a benifit conert and Emerson Drive is donating thier time. I think it's so cool that Emerson Drive is basically giving my family a concert. I live in Houston and won't be able to go but my Aunt is going to take pictures with the band and get autographs for me and my mom. I just thought everyone would like to know and here is the story from Boise's Channel 7 news website. You can also to my website, www.myspace.com/jaydsavage to look at a picture of Eddie. It's in the Emerson Drive Benifit Concert on my blog. If anyone is in the Boise area, we would appreciate if you would go. Thanks for your time.

BOISE -- Boise police are joining with an assault victim's father and his employer to make a plea, hoping that anyone with information about the violent beating will come forward.
Boise Police
Eddie Reed continues to recover from a brutal assault in Boise on June 3, 2006.
Thirty-six-year-old Eddie Reed was brutally attacked early on the morning of June 3rd – his birthday.
The attack happened at 3 a.m. as Eddie walked home from a friend's house.
He was repeatedly hit in the head with a blunt object at the corner of 21st and Jefferson streets in Boise.
So far, there has been no arrest and few clues for police to go on.
Eddie was found by a passing motorist lying in the street in a large pool of blood. He survived the attack, but will have lasting brain injuries, that have so far prevented him from returning to his job at Citadel Broadcasting where he worked an overnight shift.
Detectives have conducted an investigation, but are still hoping for the public's help, as is Reed's father.
"He doesn't really even think about it, who did this to him, he is just barley finding out what happened. We've left it to the police department hoping that they can come up with some evidence to find the person who did this, who may do it again to someone else," said Robert Reed, Eddie Reed’s father.

Police are making this plea for help now in part because Citadel Broadcasting is very involved in helping Eddie Reed. So far, there is no suspect in the case.
Citadel employees have organized a benefit concert for Eddie and his family.
The concert will feature the country band Emerson Drive and be held Sunday, August 13th at 7 p.m. at Cowgirls in Kuna.
Tickets go on sale Monday for $15 at the Citadel offices at 15th and Bannock streets. The band is donating their time and all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Reed family to offset medical expenses. Citadel is also taking donations for the family.
