Hey guys,
A good friend of mine text me earlier to ask me if I was overjoyed about the news of Shania's new album.
He's not a fan but he knows how much I love her!
When I told him that I've heard nothing about it, he said that he's been sent a press release or something, and this is what it said on it:
Shania Twain returns on November 20th with a three CD album. Four years since the release of her last studio LP, Twain releases the hotly anticipated 'So Happy (To Be Free)', which is the follow-up to 2002's 'Up' LP. The first single 'Don't Shoot The Messenger!' is expected to be released a week earlier, November 13th. Twain has recorded over 95 tracks for the triple Cd but only about 35 are expected to make the final cut. Tracks rumoured to be on the album include 'Baby Baby Baby!', 'Sweet Like Sugar (candy girl)', 'Girl From The Country', 'Bianca Bianca', 'Horse whispers' 'Darlin (why you make a fool of me)' 'Im so happy' 'Why Wait For The Weekend (To Be Wicked)!' 'Order Me Some Champagne!' 'Canyon of love' & 'Free (as a bird)'. A spokesperson claims this is "her most personal album to date, totally unique and crafted with love'
Neither of us have any idea if it's true, but he says it seems reliable.
Do any of you know anything about this??

Well, if that's true, it probably means the same type of thing they did with 'Up!'.
Don't forget, with all the different versions of that album, that was a 3 disc album too!
I only managed to get green mixes as a good friend in the states sent it to me.
But then again, 35 tracks?!!
Could there really be 3 discs full of new songs?!

If there's 35 songs then they will probably cover the 3 discs. Maybe each disc will be like a different genre of songs.

Before her UP album came out, a list of songs was released that were supposed to be on the UP album, but they turned out to be fake news. I really hope that this information is true, but it does kind of sound like the fake UP news.
And it seems strange that nobody else has heard about this yet.
But like I said I hope its true. I'm still skeptical for now though.

This is very interesting. I haven't heard from this new, less than the names of this songs you're saying. The first rumour was about the name of the new cd, named "Takin' Me Down On A Date" and like her first single, but there's a lot of time ago since no one has talked about that. And now you're giving to us this. I don't know about this, anyway I hope this can be true, over all the date of releasing and the single. It's awesome!

Are you crazy man? :shocked: how the hell 35 songs in just one release? :huh: That is maybe the only thing I can't believe. It may be probably like Up! 3 CDs with diferent versions, the quantity of songs must be the same more or less like Up! 19-18-17 anyway, we cannot know that.
I'm expecting for grea mixes and a great country-pop CD like she uses to amaze us.;)

I don't know but I think at the end of this all of this info is going to be fake :uhh: it's always used to happen this, but if it's fake, it will be great and way much better, I expect a surprise with the new songs and the new single, of course the great CD.

I wouldn't say they are stupid titles, way much better, they are "interesting titles"; if you don't still know the content of the songs don't say anything;). Okay, they are just supossition about the songs, they are not confirmed and we don't still know where this info came from, but there's no reason why to laugh at them. Respect with this one, why don't kinda italian song?:p

I actually like most of those song titles. :p But there are too many listed (with parentheses in them). I just don't see Shania titling alot of her songs like that anymore. That and the line about her recording 95 songs make this press release sound fake to me.

I like that shania titles too, they're interesting in case they're true, but I still doubt it :uhh:. And you're right what you say with :up:

They ALL know how big a fan I am of her!! I would NEVER laugh at one of her songs....I just meant that looking back, without confirmation, there are a few song titles that I wouldn't think to be genuine, that's all.

lol, you looked as if you were luaghint at them with that, but it's okay. I'm a huge fever shania fan too, I love all songs and I wouldn't change her for anything in this world:) Good for the explanation;)
Yeah I cant see 35 being all on one album 21 is the most I would think you plan on that many songs when you really go all out for a big album. I mean unless some tracks were recorded already(awhile ago) and just now being put on the new cd.
Who knows Im not expecting any reliable news unless it's official news. I still wonder if she does 3 different versions again since it worked out. But who's to sayy if one of the mixes wont be all acoustics or something who knows Im still pondering over the plan for the new album.
Time will tell sooner or later.
We have to be patient for that reason why:)

IDK about this, I mean usually artist release singles 2-3 month's before the release date of the CD not a week, that's not enough to promote the song for a new CD... So IMO I'm not getting my hopes up and not going to rely on it until we get something that's official.

The fatal error is the album cannot be released on November 20th. That's a Monday. Yes, internationally, that would work. But a true press release would be meant for North America (sent by an American company) and would list, or atleast mention, November 21st as the release date.

This was received by a European person though. Maybe they amended it for the market! *clutching at straws* :D

Now that I think about it, if the album were 3 CD's then Shania wouldn't need to "narrow down" to 35 songs...and "3 CD's" sounds like a stretch anyway, the retail price for something like that would probably be £20 or more. The song titles don't sound right either...although it is more convincing then the other story that there was about a new album.

Sorry, but I don`t think that it is true...Song titles are too strange and there are some parallels with song titles from UP! and one from Come On Over..
Order Me Some Champagne! sounds like Waiter!Bring Me Water!
Baby,Baby, Baby sounds like Thank You Baby!(For Makin` Someday Come So Soon)
Girl From The Country sounds like Rock This Country!
Bianca Bianca sounds like Juanita

Canyon of love sounds like Madonnas title of Power Of Goodbye but Free (as a bird)-Nelly Furtado`s I`m Like A Bird...
Sorry, but there are too many concurrences and it all sounds like canard because I don`t think that she will make an album with so many different songs..She can then better release 3 different albums... :uhh:

It reads really funny actually. 35 songs, 3 different discs! It's ridiculous and impossible for me. How?! So there are going to be 3 albums or what. I can't imagine one album of so many songs! If it's so then the following will have 50 or 100 songs? It's strange!
I want a new album but I really want the truth about it not just rumours. And if the only way is to wait for the album, then I prefer this than believing any doubtful news.

Interesting....I don't know if it's real or not, at least some of it sounds real, but I'm not hoping for anything.. Although, with all these reports about a new album, I'm now even more positive we'll get to see something from Shania this year..:cool:
Btw, you know Shania & Mutt, they always come up with original, never-done before stuff, so 3 CD's (3 different CD's in different 'styles') doesn't sound so far-fetched IMO..but we'll see..:)
I would say its probably not true, mostly because she wouldn't record 95 tracks and disgard so many, let alone find the time to actually record that many. Maybe she would write 95 but not record them, it would be too expensive and time consuming.
If your friend can name the source that would help.

He works in a hospital mate, but I know he'd never make something like this up.

I am suspicious of whoever sent it to HIM though.
It's a bit confusing really. I mean, was this information mailed to him? Then anyone could have received it, right?

I still don't think this information is true. But, when UP! was released in November of 2002, fans knew some info about the album title and release date in July of 2002.
So if Shania really is going to release an album in 2006, now is the time for information to start coming in. And I'd guess that if we don't hear any actual information by the end of this month, we're not going to be getting a new album this year. :(

I will admit that I think some of those titles are creative, but I think whoever made up this news was definitely trying to trick people by the overuse of the "!"s, which Shania uses a lot more frequently in her song titles, and "Order Me Some Champagne!" is one of the least original and so obviously made-up ones that gave it away (they tried to make one similar to "Waiter! Bring Me Water!" ;) )

That happened the same with "Ka-Ching", before Up! the title for this song was "A Lot Of Money And Things"; and at the end was kinda similar the title. We all keep thinking that's a fake new but we'll see what can happen with this.

That's weird. Some songs are looked like the ones who supossly was gonna be on the Up! CD. It lacks "Lotsa Money and Things", instead of "Ka-ching":uhh: that was according to this supossed to be on there.

Like I said earlier Alex, albums are always released on fixed days in a week, in North America, it's Tuesdays.. whereas in most international countries it's Mondays (or Fridays)..

"......apparently, the article he was sent, and which i sent to you had been edited by someone along the lines and the album is just going to be called "So Happy"...40 tracks were recorded and 26 are on the album"
That's all I know. I'm not gonna delve in any deeper, but just remember the album name, just incase this was right. It'll help me feel less of an idiot..LOL!

26 songs? :huh: That's a huge number for just one album. Shania the maximun she's done is 19 with Up! 26 is a weird number of songs. I don't think the title is that one, I dunno, is just simple. But well, we'll see how far we get with this fake new:p.. I'm just saying that cuz nothing is confirmed eh:)
Well i will say i hope it's true, but i wouldn't be surprised by anything :D
