(a) They probably pay you, they need all the members they can get.
(b) You get a beautiful Girls Aloud poster, complete with insults written all over and defaced by jealous girls. A snapped DVD, but it doesn't matter, they are on the music channels non-stop all day anyway, and a free one way ticket to the moon for the period they are touring. i.e. forever. :p
(c) It might as well be.

It's ok, I'm not blaming you all. I'm the lucky one. The lack of Shania lately made everyone bitter, I was lucky in that I found a get out. It seems we're living in two tribes, and heading for war.

I should be able to start a thread on something I like, just like anyone else does, yet people have gone in there and posted a lot of negative things, basically saying that the hate them.
Not only that, but here we have an anti-Girls Aloud thread which has been started because of that! Each to their own. I've never said anything about girls being treated equally, in fact my thread is in praise of girls and their talents. Its no more offensive or degrading saying how attractive they are than the thread where girls are posting pics of guys.

Don't count me into the "Anti-Girls Aloud Club" either. I'm not saying I like their music....I can't honestly say I've ever heard any of it. Until all these discussions began, I'd never even been so inclined as to check any of it out. Thanks Paul, for being such a big fan of theirs (nothing wrong with that by the way; just like there's nothing wrong with being a non-fan)...and in the process bringing this group to my attention. I will be listening to them in the future, to see if I can appreciate their musical abilities as well as their....other abilities. ;)
Thank you Robert. It's nice that some people allow others to have different tastes without having to hide it away...
And as for those girls saying the men ruined their thread, there are almost 50 posts from girls in the Girls Aloud thread constantly slagging them off! If you hate it so much, you don't have to go in. Although its interesting that its where the inspiration for the male pictures thread came from. ;)
Stevie Lange thought they were good enough, Shania and Mutt thought they were good enough to support Shania at Kilkenny. I'll go with the experts on this one!
And just because you never heard of them, (yes, Brits do things too!), therefore they can't be that famous, well that means nothing, you once didn't know Shania, is she rubbish? No. :rolleyes: Now lets stop all the jealous behaviour, and all start worshipping. :p

I see another thread with title hottest and sexiest photos and should that trend continue, something needs to be done eventually, but at this stage I don't want to close any threads if I don't have to.
Suggestions:
a) Paul will keep any mentions or pictures of Girls Aloud in one thread (and should you wish it's a discussion about their music also, editing thread title might be needed)
b) girls will not post men pictures there
c) boys will not post girl pics in the men-thread
Once things return to normal, this thread will die on it's own.

I am a man of peace, love and belly buttons. I started a belly button appreciation thread, not a war, inspired by the almighty Bob, creator of the original Shania bb thread. I can understand the need to have invaded that thread, it is full of rare treasures. I'll let you off on this occasion.

OK here is what I suggest...
1. I'm happy to have one main Girls Aloud thread, as long as the same goes for other artists not including of course Shania or the Corrs). So its one rule for all...so that means (for example) Celine news etc has to go in the same thread, as we aren't all fans. (I wouldn't start an anti-Celine thread, I would just not read it if I weren't interested). However I'm not in a straightjacket here, I can talk about them here and there, or like when others go to concerts etc I can have a small thread if I want to share tour pics etc. We have so many Sara Evans threads, Celine threads, etc.
2. It would be messy to merge the other Girls Aloud thread in member announcements so I will close that but leave it there. I will rename the Girls Aloud thread to include all Girls Aloud material, us guys won't ruin the GABB inspired male thread and girls may only post positive and non-sarcastic posts in the Girls Aloud thread.

People will use it to learn from the mistakes made in history. A sad reminder of the dark ages of non-acceptance and belly button hatred.
So basically I'm not agreeing to be restricted to one Girls Aloud thread, (as others aren't), but I have to keep pics and general info in there. I AM allowed to mention them in other threads in the same way that other people mention their interests in other threads. The point here is respecting the Girls Aloud thread and the male pics threads without invading them and trying to wind each other up. Which I agree to. I won't go in the male thread and post girl pics...and the girls dont do that in ours.

I agree to that. I can't invade other threads specific to those topics. And the same goes for people respecting these threads, which includes not starting hate clubs/threads. Because we could all do that and then this place wouldn't be very nice...so naturally this anti-Girls Aloud club has to be closed.
I'm not restricted to only one thread but I will keep general info and pics in there.
Does that sound fair?
