I want to surprise them one day and be able to speak German with them. So please, anyone who knows how, can you help me? Thanks so much guys! :)

What is it that you all want to learn German words? I mean I could help teaching or translating words but not the grammar because I am not good on explaining!

Krissi I think we would like to learn the words so we can begin using them right away. But we'd also like to learn the grammar so we understand the language and how to properly read/write/speak it. Whatever assistance you, or anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. :)

You know it's really neat how young toddlers can learn to speak multiple languages at a young age. They call this the window of oppourtunity. If you can start young the brain just pics up all all the languages your around and you can learn them easier. I need to learn spanish I am gonna take a class second semester if I can fit it in.

Alex

Yeah, they are. But in someway is not the same to learn a language by oneself like to learn it in group. I feel better in groups.

Can anybody join, or is this a private school? :p
If you pay us a tax, Welcome Buddy:p!

ME ME ME!!! I want to teach you all! But I'm not fluent...I can do beginner German though.

Okay..here we go.

ich= I
du= you
er= He
sie= she/plural (they)/formal
es= it
wir= we

der= masculine article (der kopf= the head)
die= feminine article
das= neutral article

Some common verbs:
machen= to make (Ich mache, du machst, er macht, sie macht, es macht, wir machen)
haben= to have (Ich habe, du hast, er hat, sie hat, es hat, wir haben)
sein= to be (ist= is, (she is= sie ist) bin= am, (i am= ich bin), sind= are (sie sind= they are/formal you are)).

Now making these into sentences:
Ich bin neu hier. (I am new here.)
Er ist neu hier. (He is new here.)
Sie ist neu hier. (She is new here.)
Sie sind neu hier. (They are new here/You are new here (formal)).
Du bist neu hier. (You are new here. Informal)

To start, memorize these:
Ich bin
Du bist
Sie ist
Er ist
Das ist
Sie sind
Wir sind

Also, memorize this rule:
No matter what, the first verb always goes second in the sentence. The second verb goes at the end. Example: "Du kannst nach mein Haus kommen" literally translates to "you can to my house come" but we would say "you can come to my house".

Let me know when you've got all this down/have any questions...then I'll give you more!!

Annette

ich= I
du= you
er= He
sie= she/plural (they)/formal
es= it
wir= we

You're missing 2nd and 3rd person plural.

Ich
du
sie/er/es
wir
ihr
sie

To start, memorize these:
Ich bin
Du bist
Sie ist
Er ist
Das ist
Sie sind
Wir sind

Same here
ich bin
du bist
sie/er/es ist
wir sind
ihr seid
sie sind

And with the verbs you used. I guess it's because if you speak english wir, ihr and sie would all translate into you.

But nice work:D:D

LOL it's okay. As long as you mentioned it, may as well explain lol.

Ihr seid= you are (accusative? formal/informal plural...am I right? We don't use much Ihr in German class....) And "she" I think. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!! :D
