On Wednesday, October 18, CMT Canada (http://www.cmt.ca/) will be airing a NEW Shania Twain special titled "Totally Shania".

"Totally Shania" is part of a new series of specials titled "Totally" which focuses on a different country star each week. Shania's special premieres on October 18.

The show is only 30 minutes long.

Here are general details about the new "Totally" series:

THE TOTAL PACKAGE
01/10/2006 - The new show Totally gives viewers a window into the lives of some of the music industry's most cherished performers. In their own words, artists like GRETCHEN WILSON and SHANIA TWAIN share their professional ups and downs as formal interviews, press conferences, music videos and public appearances are woven together to create a rich tapestry of the artist's career. In essence, this half-hour show enables fans to experience their favourite musicians in a whole new way. It all begins this Monday with some mega-watt star power as MARTINA MCBRIDE and BIG & RICH get the show on the road. Catch Totally on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm ET/ 3pm PT.

CORRECTION: According to Dax on the Shania Boards (http://www.shaniafans.com/mb/showthread.php?t=20112), the October 18 "Totally Shania" special on CMT Canada (http://www.cmt.ca/) will be 1 HOUR long!

(The "Totally" specials for the other celebs are listed as being 30 minutes long, but Shania's special is the only one listed as being 1 HOUR long.)

Sorry for the confusion.

I confess I didn't even bother to watch. In the past CMT Canada specials have turned out to be a reassembling of old interview clips. Even if there are clips never seen before, we are still facing a situation where Shania has produced nothing new for a long time. This could only be old stuff. I will take an interest in Shania specials again when she comes out of hiding and has something new to offer.

I agree, I was going to say the same thing. Old stuff rapackaged under a different name.
