Well, I'm off to explore the world again! I'm leaving tomorrow and coming back Thursday, so have a great Thanksgiving everybody! I'm heading UP the coast to Monterey, what I think is the most beautiful drive in the whole state! See you on Friday! :):bounce: :boogie:

My wife and I love California. We have tried twice to drive down the coast road from San Francisco to the southern part of the state. The first time bridges were out and mudslides blocked the road in several places due to "the storm of the century" so the road was closed. The second time the weather was unseasonably hot for March and almost all of the road was shrouded in fog. We couldn't see a thing! One of these years we will make the drive and actually see it! LOL We did do the 17 mile drive on the Monterey peninsula and it wasn't foggy- very beautiful!

Julia, there is someone with the same screen name as you who has posted on both Dixie Chicks messageboards. Is this you?

By the sounds of it when you do get lucky enough to see it, your car will either break down or you're about to be mugged. :p Good luck eh. :p
