Shania was on a 2004 repeat of "The Frank Skinner Show" the other day. For international users' benefit, Frank Skinner is a bad (in my opinion) comedian who tries to be a chat show host (but he's nothing like Letterman or Leno at all, he can be quite crude). Anyway, Shania was on there to promote her Greatest Hits and was really good! She looked great and was spoke well. The thing was, Skinner was rather rude and asked her if she shaved her legs in the winter and other rubbish questions. He's a really bad comedian and was trying to be funny. He even asked the audience to laugh and applaud! He was truly awful and it was a shame Shania wasted her time going on there. If I was to interview Shania, I would ask her questions about songwriting above anything else. I would ask her how Mutt and her worked, how she structures lines and lyrics etc. And she enjoys discussing songwrting too, so everybody would be happy.

I was actually there for that show, and it wasn't nearly as bad as you're making out. She was very comfortable and didn't seem bothered by anything at all.

He didn't embarass her at all and it was actually a very good and funny interview!!!

And did he ask her anything that didn't make the final cut?

btw, I've been to Wiltshire on holiday and really liked it!

The interview was much longer than was actually shown on television and yes, i was the one who was talking to her.

And i've lived in wiltshire all my life and absolutely love it.... surrounded by countryside, which is just beautiful

Hey there,

I have to agree with Beckie and it was quite an amusing interview - thats the whole point of his show tho so its to be expected. As a fan its understandable you want to hear about the music - but in all honesty i reckon Shania even likes to talk about something 'different' - and in this case it was. LOL.

I like the interview, one of the best shes been in IMO. It's better seeing her relaxed than uptight about being asked the same old questions.

The car horn comment is great! :funny:

I actually think Frank Skinner is funny, but his humour is kinda questionable, I guess it's just a taste thing.

I can see how this guy can be rude and crued and easily a jerk but I think Shania handled the situation well. It was cute and funny in the sense Shania didn't get dirty herself and the host Frank wasn't too over the line. Frank was talking about wardrobe malfunctions and what would Shania do if she had a Janet moment. She did mention stuff about even she's floppin around. He made the joke about Shania being HOT but that actually she must have been cold at the Superbowl performance because of all the skin showing. Then came the joke and comments about northern girls not shaving in winter. Shania did mention she couldn't believe she was going there but told it straight without it getting out of hand. The joke to the audience ladies was kinda silly I thought about a Shania dedication with the letters SHANIA shaved down the side of their legs. It was nice to see Shania recognize them as well from a concert though.

Pretty funny and Shania did a good job overall.

I can't say anything at "bad host for him", cuz I don't know him, so *quite*.
Thanks for the info.

The horn part was funny indeed.

She can have an intoxicating laugh at times. :p

They may describe it as a truck drivers laugh but it's always been a hoot to hear.

I actually think he was just saying she looked hot... which she did :p

He said she should use the MIFLAW intro as her car horn.

It was a great interview! (But then again, as she was talking to me, I guess I'm a little bias!)

I think she enjoyed herself, and found Frank quite funny! I know I did! There was a question about lip synching at the Superbowl that didn't make the final airing; and when they showed the video clip of PF2, the one they actually showed us in the studio was the version with Billy in it, not Mark. I guess it was quite important for the correct one to go out on air, as it was the Mark version that was released here in the UK! Shanis did correct Frank on this though! LOL!

So that was you and your friend Frank poked fun at about shaving SHANIA down the side of your leg? :)

What was the lip-synching question about?

I actually think he was just saying she looked hot... which she did

Of course she was hot and it was funny how he said hot but thought about how little she wore so he said cold, lol, but than came the boob flop thing. ;) :uhh:
