I was wondering if there are any Harry Potter fans  in here like me. I just adore the stories and the movies as well. I've read the first five books and I just got the latest one which I'm going to read soon after I finish the book I'm on now.:D

I am so fascinated with the Harry Potter series and the movies are so fascinating and different story lines for each. I really like the all of them but my favorite ones are: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. :D

My dad loves Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as he likes it when Hagrid tips down the door and then says "Sorry about that" and picks it up when the Dursleys are in that old house hiding. :funny:

My favorite characters are: Harry , Hermione, and I love Ron as he's always nervous and afraid of things and in the second one he breaks his wand. hehehe. The only teacher I don't like is Professor Snape as he's spooky. I love Hagrid as he knows all the interesting creatures in the forest.

I would really love to email others who adore Harry Potter and we can chat and talk about it all the time as well as Shania.

Hi Anne, I'm a fan of Harry Potter too. My favorite book is the order of the phoenix because that's when things start getting a little more spooky and Voldemort starts coming back and gainng more supporters. Since you haven't read the half blood prince yet, I won't spoil any of it for you, but this one has to be my second favorite. So many interesting twists and such a surprise ending...not giving it away!

I'm not sure if you know, but starting on December 1st, the ABC family channel is going to air the first 3 harry potter movies for a few days in a row, not sure exactly what the tv airing schedule is.

My favorite characters are: Fred and George - they have that fun-before-work personality that I can totally relate to even though I know it'll get me into trouble.
Harry - He's always saving someone from something, lol!
Ron - He's afraid of spiders too, and he's so funny!
Hermione - Even though she takes school WAY too seriously, she's a loyal friend to Harry and Ron even though they fight sometimes.

I don't like Snape, Umbridge, or Filch. They're always against the good guys, and even though Dumbledore says he trusts Snape, I don't fall for it. Maybe some veritaserum would come in handy???
Also, I don't like Malfoy, Crabbe, or Goyle. Remember that time when they tried to take Harry and Ron's snacks and Scabbers bit him? Hilarious!

I live in America, so I think that it's so interesting that people in other countries call it Harry potter and the philosopher's stone. Here in America we call it harry potter and the sorcerer's stone. Have you ever heard it called that?

Also, who's your favorite pet in the books? I like Hedwig, Crookshanks (didn't like him before, but I like him more once I found out that Scabbers was really Peter Pettigrew), and most recently, Pigwidgeon. He's such a crazy little owl.

I am a Harry Potter fan too;) Both books and the movies;)

I think the world J. K. Rowling created for her beloved little wizard is AMAZINGGG.... And i think she has achieved more than a lot of previous authors and writers did...

Orchestragirl,

Well I like all the characters you do and I don't care for snape either as he's very dark and evil looking even though he's not but his manner is far too serious. I've had some teachers like that in school. Scary.

I have heard of the other name of the first book being called both the philosopher's stone and the sorceror's stone. I guess different countries have different ways of saying the book or that's how the title comes in their own country. I mean even the first movie is the philosopher's stone. The author is from the UK (England( so I guess that's how she wrote the title out.

No I haven't read the blood prince so thanks for not telling me what its about. The order of the phoenix was a great book and the movie is coming out next summer so I might go see it in the cinema.

My favorite books are: Chamber of Secrets (all the spiders Ron was afraid of and the snake at the end) and (Prisoner of Azkaban as I love the new creature "Hippogriff" the flying bird/horse creature that Harry flys on. Also there are werewolves in it and I'm a big horror nut at heart.

Its great to see so many Harry potter fans as it is a popular series. I love all the movies and I own the first four on DVD.

I love the Harry Potter books - they are great. Hermione has to be my favourite character - just the way she has evolved and the fact she could be a bit irritating in the first two books (IMO).

I have a few thoughts about Snape - but alot are based upon book 6 so i don't want to say anything incase some people haven't read it yet!
