Today we had to write/turn in 3 poems in creative writing, and this was my lyric poem. (Please note that I was listening to Martina McBride's "How I Feel" when writing this! lol! :p)
Sun shining down on your face
Strolling through an old, familiar place.
The Eiffel Tower just after midnight
Passion burning like a candle light.
That's how I feel when you're around
Like new music with a nostalgic sound.
Snowflakes landing on my coat and hat
Laughing because life's just like that.
Glancing up to see a shooting star
A sunset ride in a brand new car.
The smell of grandma's apple pie
Blushing and having no idea why.
That's how I feel when you're around
Like a queen wearing her new, golden crown.
A phone call from an old friend,
Reading a good book to the very end...
That's how I feel.
