View Full Version : COME ON OVER 10th Anniversary?
Here's a thought.
For such a successful album like COME ON OVER (best-selling album by a female artist and bestselling country music album ever), I was wondering if Shania would plan something special to celebrate the Tenth anniversary of this exceptional album.
I say she must make a special concert where she sings the COO songs or something... She must celebrate it in some way!
It's a nice idea, but I don't see it happening. I imagine she'd want to look forward with her music, not go back.

That'd be great but I doubt anything like that would happen...espeically if she's caught up with making her new album right now. Maybe there will be a re-release of some kind? haha I don't know to be honest. I'd be suprised if she actually did something.

I could see her doing that like 10 years ago if that makes sense? haha...like it seems like something she would have celebrated when she was at that point in her life. Now I think her priorities are much different.

I wish and hope she could have a concert or some way of celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Come On Over. But, if not I understand why. She seems very busy especially now she's been on Tv promoting Starlight and in the stage of song writing right now. So all us fans can celebrate it on here still though. :D

I know when I got through university I went on a shopping sprea, it's a lot of fun :)

I also have that version. I got it a few Christmas' ago maybe about 5 :eek: Didn't think it was that long ago. It's good though. :D

Yeah I do, I really like the different versions of MIFLAW and UGAW.
The differences are small but I think these versions are actually better.
The remix of LGME is interesting, but I miss the "woo!" before "...gone and done it" haha. I was singing along and then it didn't happen and I was like "wait what?". :p
Don't forget tomorrow is the anniversary. Hopefully you will be listening to the album all day. :boogie::boogie:

I will always remember being new to Shania and hearing FTMO over and over and not knowing who it was. Then when I did finally hear her name, I still didn't know who it was.:p It took my mom to tell me who she was and then I didn't believe her because I was hearing FTMO on pop radio. At this point I decided to go out and pick up her CD. Being pretty much ignorant of who Shania was, I bought the WIM looking for that song, what was it, oh yeah FTMO.:D Boy was I surprised to get home and find out FTMO is not on WIM.:shocked: So, I put two and two together and thought she must have more than one CD out. So, I eventually got squared away and from that moment on, back in early 1998, I was never confused again about Shania's music.:) COO has been out a little longer than I've been a fan, but still, I feel like I was there when it happened. I still hear all of those big hits from COO just about every day.
I don't know if anyone caught Jeopardy one night last week, but on one of the shows the answers were song phrases and yep one was "I wanna be free, yeah, to feel the way I feel, Man! I feel like a woman". It almost went by, but finally just before the buzzer the only lady got it. The two guys looked puzzled and didn't appear to have a clue.:p

I listen to COME ON OVER three times over the other day, it sounds as good as always and no doubt I will be listening to this album many times to come, no wounder it has sold so will.

I never get tired of listening to this album, and the radio stations always seem to play tracks from COO as opposed to Up!

Yeah that's true.
She didn't have as many big hits off Up! that's probably why.
I'll occasionally hear FAFA or see the videos for Up! or IGGG on CMT Ultimate or something.

I don't really know which I listen to more.
I have all her albums on my iPod so I usually just listen to individual songs in random order.
I hear random songs of her because I have all her collection in my iPod and music library. But my fav album is COO...

a special anniversary edition of the album would be a really nice way to celebrate and booost the sales back above 100,000 for this year and if it does happen the album will have sold nearly 16 million copies and shipped nearly 30 Million and it's first new certification in 3 years and bring her shippment total to nearly 50 million
