Shania On CMT 30 (Canada)

Hey I was just watching CMT 30 and they had an interview with Shania. In this half she only talked about her fragrance and a bit about her duet with Anne Murray. There's a new episode on Wednesday and they said they'll talk about her new music in that part of the interview. I'll post a transcript later on & a second one after the other part later this week haha.

When she discusses new music in part II, I think fans shouldn't get disheartened, or feel any negativity towards her if she says, she doesn't know if the album will be out for 2008 and if she's still finding it a struggle to focus on the writing, being creative.

I agree. The 2008 release date was just a rumour. If we didn't know anything before she mentioned a possible album in 2008 it probably wouldn't be an issue. She shouldn't be held responsible - espeically because she's not the one who started the rumour.

Well at the ACM Awards Orange Carpet Pre-show in Las Vegas, May 15 2007 the reporter person asked when we will hear new Shania music and Shania said "Yeah, it'll be awhile still. It won't be til next year, won't be this year."

During an interview on Access Hollywood, she said that she's hoping to have an album done by '08 and everyone is now expecting her to come out with new music next year. It may actually take longer, Mutt is a perfectionist as is Shania.

I think that's likely. Even if she were to come out with it in 2008, it would probably be late in the year like Fall '08. She also mentioned having trouble writing while raising Eja...so that's probably another reason for the delay. :dunno:

Shania: Yeah, when’s the new music coming out.

CMT 30: You release more and then people are automatically… it’s like when you get engaged they’re like when are you getting married?

Shania: I know, it’s like asking when a painting is going to be finished. I don’t know. It’s really hard to say. I just have to go with the flow, I’m as well sometimes quite anxious to get music out so I understand people asking well when’s new music coming out? I just don’t know for sure. We are absolutely in the works with it, and it’s just a question of when it’s finished.

Like everyone else here I can't wait to see Shania return with a new album and hear her sweet voice again along with her absolutely marvelous music... I have no doubt that this will absolutely make us swoon when she finally releases her new songs, such is the genius of Mutt and Shania... They are always equal to the task of putting out great music and especially Shania for she knows how much it means to her fans... I think for one she will return and the only question is when... Hope it is soon like everyone else and sometime next year... She could always suprise us anytime too...Shania has a way of doing that too... Take care all...
