quiz hosts make up question Shania related and on a specified time and day everybody comes to the forum and competes to see which team answers the hosts questions right

Never knew there were Forum awards until you mentioned it Maria. So I did a little search and came up with a couple of threads dealing with the awards that got more than a little confusing. Even just setting them up didn't appear to be easy. I don't know if they ever happened, or if they did how they turned out. The quizzes however, seem to work a whole lot better and are also great fun. They aren't perfect either, but at least the basic format is pretty well in place already.
I haven't been here for this.

We haven't had one for a while, some people like it and some don't, as with most things, but if you want to play then the more the merrier! :) This was our first one, we usually have a lot of fun and craziness...:D

The quiz is nothing to do with those awards anyway, its a completely seperate thing and everyone can join in and have fun, nobody is left feeling left out. Also the quiz is about taking part, not winning. Some (me included) have internet problems so pages can take longer to load and its a disadvantage. We try to do the quiz on Sundays usually, at a time where the fans around the world can be on at the same time, so later evenings for Europe and afternoons for N. America.

Thanks Paul, I didn't have the opportunity to go through it back then, but that's the impression I got just reading it all.
The quizzes are more inclusive and indeed fun no matter the results, so hopefully another such one can be arranged in the near future.

I disagree, the awards are fun. While the quizzes may be more inclusive, I don't enjoy them as much, but I'm glad others have fun with it.

I'm a part of another forum as well and we always do awards.
It's never anything serious though, just silly awards like "nicest member"
or "member most likely to be online when you are".
I never really found there was an issue with it.

I was too at another place once although I was new there at the time. Seemed to work alright, although I didn't get involved with it much. Could be fun but looking back on those old threads here, it does seem to be an issue though.

They are fun when ppl don't take them too seriously. I never knew we had issues with the awards here - that is quite disappointing.

I think I'm quiz cursed. Everytime we have a quiz, I miss it due to one thing or another....no matter how much I plan everything else around it so I can be there!

The only part I don't like is that my internet connection is not as fast as yours lol. I have a fast connection, but maybe not fast enough to keep up with you :D

Don't worry... I can't keep up either. When we have the quiz the forum page loads so slowly for me.

I'm never around for these quizzes lol! In the 4 years I've been here I have yet to make it to a quiz!
We need to make sure enough people can make it and are aware of it to work. I think if we can decide on a date and stick to it people will know what's going on and it will be a good one!

Yeah, and I think that Nov. 4th would be the perfect date to stick to, but of course the poll and majority vote will decide that! :)

Yup, can't promise I'll be there anyway. I share a computer with my mom and two sisters (and my sisters German boyfriend in the weekends), and considering the fact I'm the youngest here I just got to be lucky :P .
