There is a seller on eBay that comes back every few months with a different user ID claiming to have autographed pictures and clothing of Shania and others. The signatures are not authentic. They don't even remotely look like Shania's signature. Here is one of the items.http://cgi.ebay.com/SHANIA-TWAIN-autographed-8x10-color-photo-SEXY_W0QQitemZ170159707979QQihZ007QQcategoryZ10872 0QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Thanks for the heads up.
I normally don't buy stuff like that from eBay for that very reason.

It isn't a Shania signature! That is an incorrect thing to do :(

I would advise never to buy any autographed item for the autograph. Personally I think its less meaningful and you never will know if its real.

I know. I don't trust any autograph off Ebay. Plus you can tell when they have been pre-printed. The only one of Shanias that you know are real forsure are the ones she signs you herself.

I've always felt that way too. For me, the only time I think an autograph is worth anything (not speaking literally) is if the person signs it just for you...if they didn't, what makes that autograph any different from one that's been lasered on? Maybe that's just me though.

I actually was showing a friend of mine this seller's item that I saw on ebay last week. It was a tanktop that was allegedly owned by Shania. It was so hideous and obviously fake, I would like to think Shania would have better taste than that top. Anyway I believe I will be contacting ebay about this seller.

I have a few autographs from some of my favourite people which I got in person. Even if I knew they were real, if I didn't get them its not the same. I met one of my heros once, most people wanted an autograph, I was more bothered to say thank you and shake his hand. I wanted that person to know how much they meant to me rather than want more off THEM in the form of an autograph. I think he appreciated it too.

I think people were like "woooo, I got his autograph" more than actually meeting him, its like a showing off to other people thing.

:eek::eek::eek::eek: Shania fans need to be more vigilant when purchasing Shania goods. It just goes to show how many people live off the likes of Shania's success:rolleyes:

I know what you're saying - it's an opportunity for an individual fan to personally say: Thank You For The Music.

Why someone would just want to own an autograph, through purchase, is beyond me.

So many autographs are fake that I don't know why people bother with them, I would not bother asking for an autograph of anybody who ever they were.

What! You mean that snot rag I got from after she blew her nose whilst meeting the Pope may not be real. Now my whole life is shattered, I don't know what to believe anymore.

Thanks for the warning! I can't buy from Ebay, but it's good that these things are told to the people wh odo buy those things...
I would never buy an autograph. I'd rather get it myself. Then it has this special meaning and memory stuck to it. That's what I'd like.

I always wondered about this guy's auctions. His auctions have been going on at least two years now. There use to be a link to some country radio station site on his auctions, located in Oklahoma. He claims to be a radio personality there. I forgot the call letters.

I could never figure if it was legit or not and besides Shania there are so many other autographed items from other artists from this same source. I've seen some huge price tags for what they claimed were personalized autographs from the celebrity, just send in an email or letter with what you wanted the personalized autograph to read as.

It would be a real shame if this was a fraud. The radio station claimed charity work with this, Second Harvest, and the rest. Is there anyway to dig into this? I think as long as it has gone on, there should be an investigation.

On a side note, I often times come across these sellers claiming they have Shania articles of clothing and many times claiming it was worn for some event, but when you look at it I for the life of me can never remember when she wore it. Such baloney such a shameful act yet some people are naive enough, but I'm sure most of them have no clue.

Thank god I didn't bid on that half eaten hamburger from the time she had dinner with Ghandi and Ab Lincoln at Playboy mansion. There was something about that didn't just didn't seem right but I couldn't put my thumb on it. I Think it was the bacon on the burger, for some reason I can't see a vegan putting that on their burgers. :hmmm: :dunno: :p
