Mondays

Even though it's Thursday, I decided to post this because I'm not sure how much I'll be around on Monday! It's really more of a song than a poem and I really wish you guys could hear the tune, but I don't know how to do that and I'm really shy about singing anyway. Anyway, here it is, my newest poem, Mondays.

Well I had a great weekend
But it's all over now
It went by so fast
I don't even know how
Now it's Monday, workday
Always on the go
And this morning I thought
Mondays make me feel low

And I just can't do it on Mondays
Time flies too fast at the end of each week
I just can't do it on Mondays
'Cause Mondays don't do it for me

It's the end of the day
And I finally crash
I got through okay
But I feel like trash
And I think of tomorrow
Again on the go
And I come to the thought
There'll be no Monday over the rainbow

'Cause I just can't do it on Mondays
