Ok folks, How many of you like, love, adore, or just tolerate cats?
I've noticed there are lots of threads relating to dogs. How about cats?
Here I will post pics of my 4 cats, plus a daily kitty pic.
I'll start with the kitten.

Name: Luna aka: the Fuzzer
Age: just turned 1
This little girl, is not very affectionate. She's not one to jump into your lap, but an occasional petting will be tolerated. Full of energy, she is frightened of nothing and no one! She will attack any other cat that walks by. Favourite places are boxes, on top of my tower, or my Christmas tree! lol! Loves to play with foil balls and string. She gets dizzy going in circles while chasing a laser pointer.

Name: Onyx aka Gi- Gi
Age: 1
Onyx is my favourite cat. Not very affectionate but able to make puddings in my long hair (kneading). Very friendly with everyone, but doesn't hang around much to get lovins'.She's great at giving hugs! She has her love ins with my cat Niobe. They can be found grooming each other at any time. Favourite places are boxes and my hair. Plays with scrunchy foil balls and laser pointer. Her fur is soooooo soft and I could watch her for hours, and, in fact, I have! lol!
The Fuzzer? LOL! What a cutie!!
Dang, Onyx has some big eyes!

I know! I love her big golden eyes! She blends in so well to dark things, I sometimes don't see her, till I catch her eyes staring back at me.

Haha, Cassie blends in too, but she doesn't have those big eyes to glow in the dark!

Name: Niobe aka Ni- Ni or Scuttlebutt
Age: 3
My son found Niobe all beaten up. She had been attacked by something and was left for dead. She was 5 weeks old, and her right eye had been partially dislocated. I got her to the vet just in time as she had a high fever as well, and most likey wouldn't have made it through the night. She can't see well out of her eye (it's clouded over and points to the right ) and her left eye still waters and gums up on occasion. She is very very affectionate, and is my biggest suck! She follows me everywhere and curls up on my lap, even while I'm on the computer, like now. Gets along with Onyx only, she fights with the other cats and runs to me for protection. Favourite place is under the covers with me, or my lap. Goes nuts on foil balls!.
Awww wow she's pretty!!!

You'll have to wait for Ayla. I still don't have a pic of her, she keeps moving and they turn out blurry! lol!
Right now I have Niobe in my lap. Onyx on the back of my chair and Luna at my feet. Ayla is probably hiding in my room. She spends most of her time on my bed.

Niobe is so precious. Very very affectionate. I'm sooooo happy we found her.
I especially love her spotted fuzzy belly. I looooove petting fuzzy bellies! lol!
All your kitties sound precious. What sweethearts! Is Ayla a spaz? Normally the ones that won't stay still are the spazzes! :p

Awwww that's what I miss about my kitty who died in July. Her fuzzy belly. :( The other kitty we still have has a fuzzy belly, but she's afraid of everyone except my sister. Cassie Bean has a fuzzy belly too, but it's not like a kitty's fuzzy belly.

Ayla is dangerous! She's starting to scare me. She's one mean cat!
Awww. :( Is there something you can do to help her issues? Maybe you can find an online kitty forum and they can help?

Maybe, but she's 7 years old now. I understand why she does what she does, but I may have to put her down soon. I have scars from her, and she's attacked my daughter twice in the last week alone. I don't trust her. I've had to lock her in my room the past few days so no one will get hurt. It would be horrible if she attacked one of my kids' friends, or the neighbour's baby.
Why does she do it then? That's so sad. :(

I don't really know, but it started when we got Luna and Onyx. You never know what's gonna set her off. I had a migrain once and I guess I made a noise that scared her. Next thing I knew my face was on fire. I sat up and cried out, and as I made my way to the bathroom she attacked me from behind. She hung by all her claws on the back of my legs. I turned around and she bit into my right shin, three of her teeth went in far. I had to lock myself in my bathroom. I was crying because, my head was pounding, my face and legs were cut, and I was almost in shock. I was pouring blood. The bite got infected and I had a limp for a couple weeks. I still have the scars on my shin. Ask Stevie, he saw them.
She attackes for no reason, and the last 2 times she attacked my daughter, she came very close to her head and face. My daughter has scars too. It's no longer safe to keep her Jenna and it breaks my heart. My whole life, I've never had a cat for more than a few years, because others took them away in one regard or another. I've had Ayla 7 years and I want her to grow old with me. No one would adopt her now.
Awww geez that's awful...I'm sorry.

This is Petey. He is a Himalayan Silver Point. He is 7 years old. We got him the Winter before going to Timmins. He cost us some bucks, but he is a beautiful cat:

This is Lucky. A friend of ours found him on the side of a busy road about 3 years ago and convinced my wife to take him. He is huge now, part Maine Coon Cat we believe from his features. Very timid, but a lot more affectionate than Petey. Bigger than Petey too.:p When we first got him he was so tiny with hardly any tail. Now his tail is huge:

Thanks! I love them too! You have cats too, don't you? I'd love to see a pic sometime.
Here are my two. The one on the left is Missy (aka Fat the Cat or Missy-Bomb) my kitty who passed away in July. She was 12. The one on the right is my sister's kitty, Sassy Rose (aka Nosey for her pink nose) who is 7 I think. She's scared of everyone, so I rarely see her.

Awwww, look at them! It must have been very hard for you to lose Missy, after knowing and loving her so long.
Sassy Rose looks a little like my Ayla.
Yeah, it was and still is hard. I got her when I was 5, so I can't really remember anything before her. She could have lived a little longer, but she was in so much pain...her skin turned an ugly yellow and it was just hanging everywhere. Her fur was nasty and she couldn't move. :(

My seven month old kitty Jade looks very similar - she has little white patches on her upper chest under her head and on her tummy by her butt.

This is Tiger. He is about 5 years old. He used to be an outside cat, but when I got a black lab for my birthday he could no longer stay outside because Trixie wouldn't leave him alone. He's now a spoiled house cat and loves every minute of it. Of course he loves to wake everyone up at four in the morning to feed him, but I wouldn't trade him for anything.

This is my other cat. His name is Sugar and he's about 2 years old. We used to have another orange cat, but sadly his life was taken by a coyote. So, my mother's friend was giving away cats and we decided to go check 'um out. Sugar isn't a lovable cat, but he is when he wants to be. He is also really silly and loves to roll around in the grass when he finds something to play with. :funny:

How cute! I love the expression on Sugars face. Priceless!
Try having 4 female cats in heat at the same time! Makes for a few sleepless nights let me tell you! lol!

lol! Both of my cats are fixed. Even though Tiger is an inside cat he was still living outside at the time. Sugar is always making funny expressions for the camara. I have one picture of him under an ice chest and he's winking.

That's an easy fix - get them spayed! ;)

I really wish I could, but I can't afford to. Luckily they're indoor cats. But I do walk them with a leash and harness!

Aww! I wish Tiger would allow me to do that! Too bad he's scared of his own shadow.

Don't know if you have them in Canada, but here we have low cost speuter clinics. They do it either free or super cheap!
taniashain
12-26-2007, 6:38pm
Not that I know of anyways. I know they have free rabies clinics from time to time, which I have used.
There is a new law out now. I HAVE to register my cats or face fines! Unfortunately, before you can register, the cat must be spayed and have all it's shots. It's gonna cost me a small fortune for each cat! But it needs to be done. It will take time to do them all, because I can barely afford much right now. Hopefully I won't be fined while I wait!
I'll figure out if Canada has free speuter clinics and let you know.
Don't fret about the fines - people around here don't register their animals and don't get caught unless the animals cause trouble. That being said, I'd get Ayla covered first.

She's one of my bed buddies! lol! Ayla climbs under the covers too. Sometimes Onyx does. No matter which cat, it's warm, and fuzzy, and purrs! lol!
No, she's not in any pain and I'm thankful for that. Niobe is my big suck, but you should have one of Onyx's hugs! She litterally stands on my lap and wraps her paws around my neck then snuggles into my hair. It's so dear!
Thanks for the info you sent me Jenna. I'll look into it in the New Year.
