View Full Version : At Last ... Here it is To You
Hi Everyone. Was I gone a long time or what?
Being an artist instead of a band guy is not easy. I wish I could clone myself.
Anyway, my surprise for you is finally here. I have a FREE GIFT TO ALL SHANIA FANS.
I wrote a song with all of Shania's fans in my mind and heart. It's called "Wanna Know All Of You."
When I produced the CD I intentionally made it sound a bit more country than all the other songs on the CD. I even reached out and got most of Shania's band member to play on the song. Andy Cichon was touring with Billy Joel, Cory was with Kelly Clarkson, Marc Muller was in his home studio in New Jersey and Brent Barcus was in his home studio in Nashville. I produced it all from Northern California. (Anyway, if you want to know more details, we can talk about those later.)
Here's is how to get you free song.
Please come to my new website. www.hardy.fm
You will see at the top where it says FREE SONG DOWNLOAD. Just follow the steps, and you'll get your FREE SONG.
You can also hear portions on the CD on the HOME page. And I'm starting a FORUM. I'd love to chat with you more there. (I'll still check in here)
Anyway, I love you all and really look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Hardy,
It's only a suggestion, but maybe you and the band could play on Shania's new studio album or co-write a few tracks? "Wanna Know Of All Of You" is brilliant by the way.

The whole album (the snibbet of tracks) sound GREAT. Right in footprints of Bryan, Bon Jovi and Keith Urban, but the sound is fresh. Good work Hardy - your debut was worth the wait!! Much better than 11.
Thumbs UP!
Thanks for the thank-you's. I not only had fun making this song, it's fun to listen to because I'm hearing my friends play.

It arrived to Ostrobothnia yesterday. ;)

Very fast delivery. Yes, the album too. :p

Hi Hardy!
Thank You so much for the free download of Your awesome song Wanna know All Of You.
I love the music and the lyrics are great..
I can hear that the other songs You have on Your Myspace profile, is more Rock like I love that. ;)
I Will find that Itunes store and buy Girl Girl Girl very soon :)
Take care.
I ordered a couple copies of the CD. After a few weeks with no delivery, I contacted the label. They were very nice, and tracked down the problem to some (computer?) hand off with paypal. Then mailed the CD's which arrived a day or two later.
Hardy's descriptions interested me.
Particularly that he wrote the first song, with fans in mind.
Also that his band mates from the Fabulous Falls, helped on various stages of producing the album, and some performed in the songs as well.
Before I got the album, I heard samples of at least two of the songs, from Hardy's website(s).
The first song sounded good. But it was the 2nd song I heard, that grabbed my attention. I think it was called Victoria or something like that.
It was the other side of the coin from Shania's tongue-in-cheek razzing males about their habits and tendencies. I thought Hardy did a great job with good-natured ribbing of females, about a small number of their preferences and idiosynchracies.
The music and lyrics in that song really went well together. However it was only a sample, so I wanted to hear and see the rest of the song.
When the CD's arrived, the first thing I did after looking over the cover art, was to open the liner notes and check out those lyrics.
The Victoria song lyrics were okay, but I think the music and performance I'd heard from the sample, create a much more impressive and pleasing effect, than just the lyrics alone.
The lyrics for the first song (with fans in mind), puzzled me a little. I was looking to see the connection between Hardy and his fans. Some of that was there. But I also saw some references in the lyrics, that I would normally associate between two lovers. I didn't think fans and lovers were quite the same, so the lyrics alone, again weren't quite what I would've expected.
I've been too busy to put the CD in and listen to it. I have the feeling, that taking all the elements together, it will have much more punch and enjoyment, than the separate elements, alone.
I have seen and heard separate elements alone, which are very impressive. In fact, I've been trying to get time to write a melody for some highly impressive lyrics a friend of mine wrote a few years ago.
However songs with one or more great elements, does not necessarily make a great song in total effect.
Sometimes, a great song comes from a combination or balance or mix of elements that, taken on their own, are good, but otherwise not in the top 20%.
I'll have to see how much of that I can find in Hardy's CD, when I get enough time free from other priorities, to listen to it. I do have a feeling that he's got some good quality, enjoyable music, with some surprisingly pleasurable effects.
I regret that I have so many books, CD's and other things around here, that I simply don't have time to explore them all as soon or as deeply as I'd like. (I still have not gotten past the artwork and liner notes, in my review of Allison Cornell's CD.)
Some folks go thru life a million miles an hour, consuming everything in sight, and looking for more. I'm not one of those. I already have more fun than I can keep up with. But it tends to be more in productive fun, than in consumable fun.
