Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park - This is where I stayed in order to run in the Big Sur Marathon in 2007. Less than $70 a night to put up your tent by your car. The restrooms were clean and a shower costs 25 or 50 cents. I think it was about a 25 minute walk to the starting line of the race.

I hiked up to this waterfall at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park the day after I ran the marathon. They say that walking after a marathon is good for you but there was a lot of climbing to get to this and was rather painful but rewarding in the end. Very peaceful setting.

This photo was taken from a bridge over the Big Sur River. Because of the falling trees laying across the river I often see people looking at this photo turning it sideways.

Http://Roberts&Andra@photobucket.comJust south of Carmel on highway 1 is Carmel State Beach. A wonderful sight to marathon runners who are now 2 miles or less from the finish line!http://i335.photobucket.com/albums/m466/yosemitegeorge/RobertsAndAudraswedding.jpg

The following 6 photos were taken at Point Lobos State Reserve. One cannot see these views from highway one but must pay a fee to enter the reserve. Cars often have to wait outside the entrance until another car leaves the reserve.

These last photos were taken at Nepenthe Restaurant. You may recognize this place as one of the photos taken by Roger. Nepenthe Restaurant was built on the property once owned by the couple Orson Welles (Citizen Kane) and Rita Hayworth (Gilda).

The last two are very near where Roger took his photo. One of these is actually framed in my house as this is one of my wife's favorite places.

Is that place always foggy or only when you took the photo? Or for the day or the hour when it was taken?

I think most days are probably foggy but when there's no fog it looks great in a different way. Good night Bibi, now you can dream off peacefully to dreamland. Thanks for viewing my photos. :)

Alex you may have viewed some when I was trying to post them. I think I had forgotten to resize a couple of them so I erased them and posted a second time.

By the way, the last 3 photos were taken from where you sit as you eat your meal.
