Notification Error

I have a question about an error that happened to me.

Even though I checked my profile visitor messages, without missing any single one of them, my Notification box still shows 1 notification: one unread profile visitor message. Every time I click on it and go to my profile, it still appears :eek:

Definitely, really weird. I have not had that problem, it must be something of the page then, you gotta ask to Marika or other mod then :hmmm:

I just started having this problem last ight. It started with one, now I have three. The only way I can read what's going on is if I go to View Conversation. But what happens if it's the first post from someone else? I wouldn't know who sent it.

And this is kinda strange too: before I logged on today, I checked out the freaky thread to see what was happening while I slept. It only showed posts from BEFORE I logged in yesterday AND it said I was logged in. It correctly showed the time I was last on though. Very strange indeed.

Yeah I got the same message. The thread was deleted by the mods because it revealed some private information about Shania and Mutt

Its a good chance for me to say to people please dont post links to sites showing paparazzi pics of Shania and her family, its very sad that she can't take her son out without paparazzi pics being taken, and its even worse when fans who know full well she doesn't want this to happen fight to spread the pics around. I think being a fan includes respecting the artists wishes especially involving family. Its not like she ever sold pics of Eja to the press like some celebs do.

We dont have a right to do it, just because she is famous doesnt mean we have a right to stalk her family. Everyone here knows we dont allow it but sadly some are still doing it. We cant stop others doing it, or the press from publishing it but lets not help spread the pics...:uhh:

Very strange indeed.Have you guys viewed all the pages in the profile conversations, perhaps an unread one in the second page? I'd also recommend clearing browser cache and shaniaforums cookie. Restart browser and check again. Refresh page if needed. (F5). Try those first when and if you encounter problems. If you still have problems after that, please state here, also tell what browser you are using if you still have problems. Let's try and see if this is browser related issue or forums sw issue.

My problems were fixed somehow without doing those steps you suggested, Marika... I don't know how! :dunno:

One option could be that individual browsers do not fetch the newest files from server but instead show them partly from cached pages on PC. It is possible in these circumstances that it 'fixes itself' once the browser gets the newest files. But this is just guessing, once we find out from more people maybe we'll know more.
The fact that 4 people out of everyone has reported this problem could mean that this could be browser issue, with new forums software version there is new scripts that maybe not all browsers like?

You too hey Amie....I've had that mysterious notification again since yesterday. Now when I log in I look to see if it says 2 notifications....then I know I've got one;)

I already viewed the whole or all the pages in my prof. to see if there's unread post there..and everything has done reading and there's no new post. I had already did that since I encoutered this notification thinggy, I logged out (all cookies are cleared) then refreshed the page and log back in but it's still. When I have 2 Notification appear, I know it's only 1.

I don't know why it happens Amie, but this is actually the second time it's done that for me. First time was....:uhh:....not really sure, a few weeks ago maybe?? Eventually it just went away....I didn't do anything that I know of, maybe a moderator did something but one day it was just back to how it should be. :dunno:

It's normal for your siggy not to always appear, Ravs. It appears only on 1 or 2 posts per page.

But you shouldn't have a problem, you write the siggy in every single post of yours
