OMG! Boy! Do I have some stories to tell! Okay, here's the boring one: We won the semi final 1-0. I crossed the ball in front of their net, and their goalie just scooped it out in time, but my friend Jesse hit it in with her chest.
But here's the exciting part! The final!
Okay, so, we were all pumped up! We only had about a half hour rest between games. We got on the field, and were dominating most of it. But then my partner in crime, Jesse http://www.shaniaforums.com/biggrin.gif, pushed this girl down! But not on purpose! She fell down! So then, the stupid girl Maria calls Jesse a f*cking b*tch and a wh*re!!!!!!! http://www.shaniaforums.com/eek.gif I was soooo mad! http://www.shaniaforums.com/mad.gif I said to her, "Don't you call her that!!!" and then this other girl Elizabeth says, "Why not? It's true!" Oh man! I was even more furious! So I said, "Oh ya!!" I got the ball, and scored!!!!!! I said "Yeah! Take that! Ha!" so me and my team were all cheering cuz it was the final, and well, you know! We were happy! http://www.shaniaforums.com/biggrin.gif But then the ref calls me over. He's like "The goal counts, but I don't like you girls trash talking like that." I said, "I'm sorry. But I didn't like her talking to my teammate like that!!" and the ref says, "I know. I heard her." So why didn't he card her?! http://www.shaniaforums.com/rolleyes.gif
So then, it was halftime. Everyone was asking me what happened with the ref and stuff. lol But then, as soon as the 2nd half starts, this girl gets a handball in the box! http://www.shaniaforums.com/eek.gif So they got a penalty shot! And they scored. http://www.shaniaforums.com/frown.gif But I was confident we could get it back! And right off the kickoff, we scored! Yay!!!!
So then..... it's like 4 minutes left in the game. And we were playing really well. But there was a scramble in front of the net, and..... they scored! Nooooooooooooooooo! Well, then it went into sudden death overtime!!! That is a soccer player's WORST nightmare! What happens is, whoever scores a goal first WINS! So we were all soooo nervous and pumped and excited all at the same time! We go out there, ready to win! We had the ball in their end totally all the time! We just kept shooting and shooting. My heart was beating a million times a minute! And then this girl Megan chips it in front of the net. I get it, take 1 or 2 steps with it, scream out "AAAAAAGGGGGHHH" and POUND it into the net as HARD as I can! And it went it! We won! We won! All my friends were hugging me and we were cheering and sooooo excited!!!!!! This is what I wanted all my life! To score an overtime goal! Just like in 2000 when Nancy Drolet scored the winning goal for Team Canada. It was such a wonderful moment! My team did 3 cheers for the other team, 3 cheers for our goalie, and then 3 cheers for me! It was AMAZING! Oh, and by the way, I'll be signing autographs at 9:00. http://www.shaniaforums.com/wink.gif
