I`m not exactly new here as I`ve been around a long time but now we have the forum I thought I should introduce myself properly for those of you who don't know me.

My name is Philip Beddoe (Phil) and I live in Sheffield, England. My birthday is the 26th of December 1978 (what can I say, I didnt want to miss Christmas!) which means I am soon to be 22.

Aside from running shania.org, the international online fan club and the Shania Forums, I am also a final year university student studying for a network engineering degree. I also have a girlfriend who lives in the US (a 7 or 8 hour time difference depending on the time of year) So as you can imagine, I get pretty busy http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

What else can I tell you...

I have pretty varied musical tastes. Shania is obviously one of my favourites otherwise I wouldnt have been running Shania.org for nearly 3 years http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif But I also like a vatiety of other artists including: Faith Hill, Santana, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Bryan Adams, Joe Cocker, Lonestar, Savage Garden, The Corrs and Sheryl Crow. Quite a range of musical types in there I`m sure you`ll agree but I tend to listen to whatever type of music suits my mood which is why my tastes range from country music, all the way up to heavy rock. http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

My favourite Shania songs change according to my mood but Black Eyes Blue Tears and Send It With Love are two of the best in my opinion. Both because of their subject matter and the deep feeling that Shania puts into their performance, Send It With Love particularly. My favourite Shania videos are Any Man Of Mine (the first Shania video I ever saw back when the Uk still had CMT) and Man I Feel Like A Woman.

My favourite song (aside from most of Shania's) has to be Lonestar's "Amazed". That has to be the most beautiful love song i`ve heard in a while, a song I dedicated to my girlfriend because the words just made it so appropriate.

I also like movies. My favourites include: As Good As It Gets, Grosse Pointe Blank, Mr Holland's Opus, Shakespeare In Love, The Green Mile, Gladiator, X-Men and the Lethal Weapon Movies.

Ok well I guess thats pretty much, everything you need to know about Longshot in a nutshell so I won't bore you any further http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

Merry Christmas everyone http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the bio. Anyone nice enough to share that much info deserves at least to be acknowledged.

And anyone who does as much as you for Shania fans, deserves to hear their appreciation.

I've shared a ton of info about myself on shania.net's main forum over the past year. I'm planning to do a search on my user name to track down my posts, and copy to a single folder. Not sure it would all fit into a usable single file. Also, the info is related to various topics, not usually focused on the topic of this thread. If I can, I may try to sort thru for this focus and repost.

Thanks Ben http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif
