Suggestions for New Features

I have been able to get an extra 100MB of diskspace for shania.org so i was wondering if there were any new features that people would like to see on there?

I have one surgestion, while I like the new picture on the front of your site (One of My Favourite's in fact) it don'st work for some reason. Maybe its because its a black outfit on a white background.

But I was thinking about your oringonl question, how about a section for stuff like Win Amp, ICQ, Yahoo Messenger skins? I have a few (I mean alot) of Win Amp Skins I could donate.

www.winamp.com (http://www.winamp.com) has Shania win Amp Skins.

As I said I can donate stuff as I can make Yahoo Messenger Skins and have a program for making Win Amp skins

Ok, well now I`ve moved hosting companies I have unlimited webspace so look out for quite a few new features coming to shania.org soon!

Ben, I`ve uploaded the first 8 WinAMP skins to the multimedia page of shania.org. I dont have WinAMP myself so I cant make them myself but if you have any that I dont then you are welcome to email them to me (with a good sized preview image to display at-site) and I will get them on the page.

For now I`ll just stick to WinAMP skins, but if anyone has made some good skins for other multimedia players (e.g. Windows Media Player) then please send those too and I will add them to the site. Once this section is complete, I`ll look into adding skins for messaging clients such as ICQ and Yahoo Messenger.

The 8 that I have were taken from Winamp.com, I downloaded yours but couldnt get the archives to unzip otherwise I would have used them (with your permission of course) as they are better than some of the other ones..

If you have any others that I dont have on the page, by all means send them. The more I have the better really as they are proving quite popular.

Just wondering, does anyone have a program to convert WinAMP themes to .WSZ files? I have a couple of WinAMP themes which are just files in a ZIP archive and I`d like to get all the ones on shania.org in .WSZ format if possible.

No Longshot I don't. I just rename the file extention from zip to wsz and hey presto you have a skin file.

I'm getting media player 7 tommorow as a prestent off a friend, all I'll need then is instuctions on making skins for it and I'll have them sent to you http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

I actually did a bit of digging around on the Winamp Developer pages the other day and found the answer to my .wsz question.

I`ve never tried making skins for Media Player (or Winamp for that matter) so i dont know how difficult it is. However I`m sure that if you do decide to make some that they will be just as good as your Winamp ones http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

well longshot, your site is great. Who knows, what you can add that is. When the new album comes out maybe you can like have a viewer review of it, or just COO for right now.

That might be a good idea, especially as the US will most likely get the album a few months before everyone else. So it will let everyone else know what to expect.
