I am posting this topic because of a recent post that got way out of hand! I hope to express my opinion on the roles of members and moderators! PLEASE do not use this as an opening to start up the old fued! Let it rest!!!
To the members:
We all need to remember that the moderators are only human! This means that they will lash out at times and say things that perhaps they shouldn't! Most of us have and the moderators are no different! Let's remember that they are doing the best they can and have worked hard to give us this wonderful place!
To the moderators:
Like it or not when you chose to become moderators you chose to take on certain responsibilities! IMO one of those responsibilities is to keep a cool head even when all around you are losing thiers! You are in a leadership role and as such people look up to and rely on you! Yes you have other things to do, but when people are upset they naturally turn to thier leadership for help! When that help does not come as quickly as expected people feel betrayed and abandoned; it's human nature! Even if the delay in help is short and with good reason, people tend to lash out at those they feel abandoned them! This is not the fault of the leadership nor that of the membership; it is just they way people are! The members here do not lash out at the moderators because they feel you are not doing your job, but rather because you do it so well that we sometimes forget that you can not be everywhere we need you to be! I know that at times you feel like the forum punching bags, but know that we lash out not because we don't respect you, but rather because we do! We rely on you because we know we can! In the future when one of us critisizes please remind yourself that it is not a personal attack, but rather a human reliance on our leaders!
If we all work to understand one another a simple expression of frustration will not lead to a member VS moderator dispute!
Remember that at the end of the day we are ALL family! Our Love for one another will see us through! Smile! Be happy! And love one another!
