I recognize a number of the people on stage in those pictures. Not all of them are around the STC any more. The Mayor in pink, for example. And I've not seen much of Twain Crazy (in the wheel chair) or her family for about 3 yrs.

Now if you'd had a picture of me sitting in my yellow raincoat, under the trees on the hill above the STC at dawn in the early morning mists, that would have been interesting to me. I think I did once see or hear that somebody got a shot of that. But it wasn't anyone in the group I was there with, because they didn't get there until later that day.

The Shootist (John Kime) was the only person from the Forums other than me, who got in on the main group activites in 2001, that I knew of at the time. Most of the Forums folks who'd talked about going to the Opening in 2001, bailed out. As a result, out of those st fans who'd met and become friends online on the main ST messageboards, then arranged to meet in person, it was mostly Boards (stnaofc) people who actually made it to Timmins for that event. There were a larger number of other fans who also attended the opening in 2001, but they were mostly not online fan friends.

hahaha that's the best description of it I've ever heard. I still haven't gone...it's an easy trip to make once I find someone willing to go with me though. I wouldn't even have to stay a night in Timmins in order to visit it. I'll never get why none of my friends like Shania. :uhh:
