They come as an attachment and are also in the message body. They attempt to run if you open the e-mail in Outlook Express even if you don't click the attachment. McAffee virusscan has stopped them on our computer. All I did was try and look at the e-mail only.
I repeat don't even open the e-mail these viruses will run without clicking (running)the attachment, and turn off the "preview pane" option in Outlook Express.

I've got at least a dozen of these in the last three days.

Same virus different names.

The McAffee web site doesn't warn that these viruses will run just by opening these e-mails in Outlook Express, but they will!!!


I picked this up at a news forum, sounds bad.
So becareful.

When these viruses come up, they seem to usually target Outlook and Outlook Express. I wonder why that is. I wonder if they're more vulnerable than other email programs and why.

Maybe the people who make these viruses just target either Outlook or Outlook Express because a lot of people use them and they have a chance to "infect" more computers.

if they wanted to infect more comps they should have tried hotmail......:rolleyes::uhh: :nervous: :eek:
