Did you guys catch CMT's five-part "The Big 4-0! A Look Back at the Notorious 90's"? It was on MTWThF of last week and repeated Saturday and Sunday. It was a great show. It took a look back at 40 of the most career-defining and influential music videos of the 90's. Each segment was devoted to two years (90-91, 92-93, 94-95, etc.). Each year had a news milestone. The best part, of course, was seeing Shania. There were clips of Shania I had never seen before. In '95, they said AMOM became her first #1 hit and she went on to sell over 50 million albums. They showed her videos WBHYBBU? and TWIM. In '96, Shania made a relatively rare Fan Fair appearance, signing autographs and allowing the fans to take pictures. Her fans waited for hours to meet the Canadian-born Superstar. Shania said "It's really something, but I can understand as a fan, I'm a fan of so many artists. I would stand in line for my favorite artist." Shania always wanted to be on the other side of the counter. "Oh, that's my dream. I always wanted to come to Fan Fair. I'm so jealous of the fans. It's so great." she said. In '97, they said Shania showed her feminine side. After a long break and the follow-up to TWIM, COO proved the magic was still there, selling over 18 million copies in the US and it was the best selling album by any female artist. Part of that magic they said was Shania's sex appeal. Her videos began getting as must attention for her looks as her music. There were clips from LGMET, MIFLAW and YSTO. I really enjoyed the show and Shania looked so sweet (especially the '96 clip of her at Fan Fair).:) :) :)

Oh, and I can't forget the other great artists of the '90's, too. They showed Tim McGraw (Indian Outlaw - yummy), Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Wyonna Judd, Brooks and Dunn, to name a few. It was a collection of great videos and super artists. Glad I now have it on tape.:) :) :)
