If anybody watches BOSTON PUBLIC, I HAVE to know what happened in the last episode?!
I totally missed it because I was at a Christmas party!

Well of course BP has alays been good! I was just sain' it's really getting "interesting" & contraversial. :shocked: BTW, we're in our 2nd season here. Since you're behind, I won't give anything away. lol BUT I will say that you WON'T be disapointed with the second season! Except for a couple things you might not like. Like the "Harry & Lauren" thing. :uhh: (If it hasn't already happened alread) :confused: And the fact that certain characters won't be a part of it. :mad:

It didn't have this week's episode discription. They shoed the Christmas episode a week before Christmas. I'm guessing they aired a rerun because it was Christmas eve & I think if they were gonna show the Chrstms episode, they would've shown it on christma eve.
I don't know why I didnt think about seeing if they had a website for the show? I guess it was because my computer was on the fritz. lol Are you a member of that board? I would've joined, but the layout is "uncomfortable" to me. :huh: And a LOT of the members are too close minded & ignorant about certain "issues". IMO :huh:
I really really wish I could discuss BP with people here that are on the same track. Becaue I'd hate to give anthing away because the show has a lot of surprises in store for you first seasoners. Anything ya wanna know or talk about BP wise, I know all! :cool: :p

Its sooo sucky that they are not putting the second season on here until next year (on hang on, thats in a few days huh?) well probably about February and I have really been missing it :( I have taped all the episodes, well except the first 7 but hey, I remember watching them :) I watched them all yesterday actually.
So who is your fav? Mine is Lauren :love: I loved her and Harry being together and I was nearly crying when she dumped him...seriously lol. But I thought that fling she had with the ex student was kinda cute :D Ah well....hope there are some good couple/s next season ;)
Yeah it really sux being behind you!!! I have been to the messageboard but i don't like it much. Mostly same reasons you have! I found this site ages ago called 'a good disaster' about Harry and Lauren....aww it was cute...oh hang on...I'm getting back to them aren't I? sorry! :p

Oh. Well we're stil i the 2nd I thik? :huh: The holias realy screwed it up for me. The last 2 episodes (one was on earlier tonight) have been reruns. ut an all new one is going to air next week. :cool: I think the tird seasonis supposed to sart next fall. Unless the ones in anuary are nx season's? I don't know? Like I said, the holidays really confused me. :huh:

I liked BP there fer a while, hell, last summer when they were playing or w/e the time was (I forget) I liked that show, I just seemed to have lost track when the new season came and I didn't really pay attention to it...
But it seems to attract a lot of attention to FOX, but I think their best show is "Titus" :D
Yeah, I don't think you can really ENJOY the show unless you have been following along. They bring up things from the past a lot. And you won't get the "jokes" unless you know what happened however many episodes ago.

Yeah I agree Marine, Harvey & Marla are soo funny when they get into their little 'arguements' :D I also think Harry's jokes are pretty funny, though some people say thats just 'my' humour :rolleyes: :D But Lauren is soo sweet and everything, she can't help but be my fav :love:

That's what I really like about the show!
The fact that they can take serious topics & joke around with them. And it's not slapstick funny. It's very smooth & delivered well! :D
Man, I wish this show was around when I was still in school (maybe I was lol) I would of had a different attitude about all the teachers. lol This show really made me respect the BS that teachers have to put up with. I wasn't a bad student, but I didn't realize some of them could be so dedicated to there passion for teaching. I always thought "Man, if I was Mrs. w/e, I'd of quit by now". I really do think that teachers don't get paid as much as they should. JMHO

Ahhhh...I envy you so much since the new season has started for you!!! Why do we always have to be so behind :rolleyes:
One day a friend said to me "I can't believe you watch that show, it's so unrealistic". Boy did I set her straight!!! It IS realistic and i agree with you, some teachers put up with soooo much yet you don't understand how they can do it. I gave a teacher hell once about 2 years ago at school, but she deserved it, so thats different ;) I eventually won and she left the school cos I had most the teachers on my side anyway, she was always picking on me and accusing me of lying, boy did I scream at her, I HATE being accused of something over and over again that I haven't done! I seriously think that teacher was in there for the passion of abusing, not teaching!!!
Its funny cos you remember that episode where Lauren couldn't get a house cos she was a 'teacher'? It's sooo different here, the teachers could get a house easy cos they get so bloody much. Yet they still want more. I personally think they are being totally unfair, they had many strike things last year because of that :scowl: Isn't $55 000 a year enough for them!!! :rolleyes:
OK, i got a bit off the track here but ah well. Oh and I wanted to ask something and you gotta tell me please.......Lauren is still on the show right? Geez, i would die if she wasn't!!! :p

A new teacher has been added to the cast. Won't tell ya how she got the job, but she is sorta taking Lauren's place as far as Harry's g/f. She's a former school mate who attended college with him & they went out once. Dont remember if it was a date or just a friendly evening though? Perhaps I've said too much? :o But she IS still there. :cool:
And the teachers here get paid around $28,000 annually. :huh:

Well when about the 6th episode was gonna start i went to that site and read all the episodes!!! Then I didn't go back and peak. Of course I didn't remember what was gonna happen in each one but there were some i just went "oh yeah, i can remember reading this happened" kinda thing :D

Well Ally Mcbeal is coming back on and ally used to be on at 8:30pm on monday nights before BP. Ahhhhh....I odn't know what I'll do if BP doesn't come back on.....i keep thinking Ally will take over BP's place. I like ally but BP is sooo much better!

I wish I had seen this post before! I just started watching BP a few months ago! I love it! Being in high school, I can relate to a lot of things on the show. I think it's very realistic. It's not some cheesy show that tries to portray problems of teens in todays society and then throws in the unrealistic floof that's in so many shows. It protrays everything very, very well.
Personally, my favourite thing in the show is the Scott/Meredith/Jeremy thing. (I won't say anymore cuz Simone hasn't seen it) And then there's Steven and Brooke, Lauren and the students she helps, Marla and Harvey LOLOL :funny: and... the new chick! LOL But personally, I really like Lauren and Scott! :) BP's so wonderful!

I ain't Nate but I agree the show was very sad and and what is really sad it is it happens all to often in real life to teens around the world daily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is why MADD needs all the support they can get.
At least it was followed by Ally McBeal - which always makes me smile and laugh, no matter how silly the show is getting.

I didn't either for much the same reason - the show is a real roller coaster of emotions and subjects - kinda like life - does the show bear any resemblance to real life happenings in your school or the schools of others members talking in this thread?

The show is intended to make everyone aware of the problems teens face in today's society. Whether it's teen pregnancy, gang related, or anerexia like the one a few weeks back.
One of he reasons why I started watching it. And I think one of the reasons it's such a hit.

I agree with Nate. It depicts very well the problems that go on in high schools, whether it's between students, a student and a teacher, or the teachers. It's very realistic. Like Nate said, teen pregnancies, gangs and anorexia are just a few of the things that are discussed. Relationships with older partners, homosexuality, cheating, cancer... they're all things that have taken place in the show, and all things that people face in real life. I think whoever produces and works on BP has done an AWESOME job of making it realistic, but enjoying to watch.
